This is a crazy short list considering how much winning we've done over the years.

I can't remember, was Charlie a UConn commit at the time of the announcement? No, right?

Complete list of McDonald's All-Americans who've played at/signed w/ UConn:

1978: Corny Thompson (PF - Middletown, CT)
1991: Donyell Marshall (PF - Reading, PA)
1996: Richard Hamilton (SG - Coatesville, PA)
1997: Khalid El-Amin (PG - Minneapolis, MN)
2000: Taliek Brown (PG - Queens, NY)
2000: Scott Hazelton (Somerville, MA)
2003: Charlie Villanueva (Queens, NY)
2004: Rudy Gay (Baltimore, MD)
2008: Kemba Walker (The Bronx, NY)
2009: Alex Oriakhi (Lowell, MA)
2012: Rodney Purvis (Raleigh, NC)
2016: Alterique Gilbert (Lithonia, GA)

Obviously it's been a tougher season than we've wanted, and Ollie's had a steep learning curve in terms of recruiting. But in his first real, sanction-free class he was able to get a McD's AA point guard from a part of the country where we've never been a major player for major recruits. This was a huge get and a feather in the cap, and it's worth remembering that good recruiting begets more good recruiting.

Hopefully next year's class includes Diallo, Brown and MAL.

I'm surprised to see we actually had two in the same year. That would be a bad year for Duke, Kentucky, Kansas or UNC.

Also in 2000...we got Caron Butler, who was a fifth year guy or he would have easily been a McDAA and the JUCO PLOY in Selvie. The benefits of our first NC.

I saw brian snow from scout claim the voters should be "embarrassed", seems like lots of shade thrown at AG. Thing is he should know ag is worthy, saw him cook plenty in person. Who got snubbed? Maybe battle or heron

2 is our magic number for McDonald AA. Every time we've had 2 on the roster we have won a NC at some point during their 4 years

No pressure or anything AG...

On paper our best recruiting class. However, in reality not even a top 3.
