Alexis Jones 5-9 PG Irving MacArthur HS Irving TX is transferring from Duke. She has her release & has 2 years left on her clock.

Having just torn her ACL earlier this past season I think sitting the year out per NCAA transfer rules would be beneficial for her recovery

Lady Vols was also on her list of schools, could she possibly follow Diamond to Tenn. Sits out a year with Diamond and then ready to play in 2015/16. They would make a dynamic back court. Another option is for Diamond to play the wing with Jones and Cooper as the guards.

Jones was thought to be a Baylor lean right up until she verballed to Duke. Rumor was that she wanted to go to Baylor but that her dad had concerns. [mod edit of unsubstantiated rumors]

UConn's incoming guard Gabby Williams tore her ACL for the second time in 12 months a few weeks earlier. I've been wondering about a redshirt for her but she seems intent on playing. It'll be real interesting to see how that goes.

And Jones leaving makes Duke super young and probably not a top-15 team this year.

That sounds like a real possibility! Especially given the way things are going with so many of these girls now.

Baylor is in more need of a top talent than TAMU and UT. If getting close to home is her reason BU is awfully close to her home town.
