lol.

I was actually acknowledging the difference and this is the result.

Every time I try to be nice, some chucklehead gets his undies in a bunch.

Sorry, your general sarcastic holier than know attitude lead me to assume that in this instance you were being your usually douchey self. I apologize for assuming such.

It's not really 'holier than thou', it's more "I can't believe I am forced to share the planet with people this dumb". And I usually put more effort into the douchiness to really make it pop - you can't go subtle with douchey.

Apology accepted.

Don't try to outwit Fishy with sarcasm or name-calling. You'll lose.

Ridiculous and asinine. Marcus Williams and AJ Price on their worst day were 10 times the passer that Shabazz is on his best.
Marcus Williams was obviously a better passer than Napier. No doubt. But Marcus was terrible on defense (much much worse than Napier) and only was able to get into the lane because the defense couldn't cheat off of other players to cut him off.

AJ Price:
06-07: 3.6 apg
07-08: 5.8 apg
08-09: 4.7 apg

Shabazz Napier:
10-11: 3.0 apg
11-12: 5.9 apg

Seems like he's just as good a passer as AJ. If I had to pick a player for this team, I'd pick AJ, and then probably a healthy Napier over MW (need more scoring that MW really ever gave).

AO's dad is entitled to react as a dad.

He's off the duck*ing wall and he couldn't reach reality with a one-iron from where he currently stands, but he is entitled to react the way he did.

But really now -- who can hit a one iron anywhere.

Guy clearly struggles with the English language but he is not a fan of Calhoun:

It is all coach Calhoun is fault. He treated the kids like sub-human by knocking the kids heads against one another the end result was dead faces. This is the first time they played together as a team

It was all coach Calhoun fault. Treating kids they were in marine corps. Set kids against each other. Today is a Self evidence that coach Cal

u cannot win a game without ball movement. Pg alone connot win a game. Pass the ball don't try to be a hero. The bigman are not involved they don't get the ball when they are wide open. Same **** last season. No wonder Uconn bigmen don't do too well at the next level. Am very critical the way huskies play their bigmen offensively
Wow, Now I know where Alex gets his sense of entitlement....this combined with the Uconn Blog drama earlier this year and his sisters comments online.....this family needs a reality check.

I have a friend with season tickets, and in most years, the seats are right behind the bench. I was lucky enough to go to many games. As much as I dislike hearing Calhoun yell at the players, I NEVER heard him make it personal.

He'd yank a kid for doing something stupid, and yell at him, saying something like, "you cover your man 90% of the time, what the **** was that I just saw? 90% means means you sit on the goshdarn bench and think about the other ******** 10%."

One of my favorites was (paraphrasing), "even their walk-ons haven't taken a shot that stupid."

It was interesting to see the difference between a regular season game and a playoff game. Regular season games, he seems to view as teachable moments. Once the playoffs start, I really didn't see the yelling.

Blaney is the coach who works with the bigs (at practice)...guess we're back to THAT again!

i wouldnt necessarily say he lost, in fact i think he matched wits with him pretty well.

It's about some little gold football that has the block "C" that we we use now and was awarded to a member of the 1924 Connecticut Agricultural College football team for an undefeated season. Some people just don't appreciate the history of their own teams they supposedly cheer for. Bandwagoners.
this is absolutely hilarious. is there a link to the post where you were trying to sell it?

If it's so valuable, how come you were trying to sell it in a chat room?

PS- I've actually got quite a bit of valuable sports memorabilia. The key is buying things that have value as sports memorabilia, not because of what they're made of. You can buy a gold-plated UMass Golf Bag, and it still isn't worth a thing on the open market unless you melt the sucker down.
link to this past convo please?

Do you have any idea how valuable the sports memorabilia market can be? And it's made of gold. ****ing moron.

There were people who wanted it. Just didn't have the cash.

I meant to visit the Boneyard, but apparently I've stumbled into an episode of Storage Wars.

If this was a year ago i wouldnt be surprised if we saw Alex transfer like his buddy Jamal Coombs-McDaniel. Now that he only has one year left he probably sticks it out even with the NCAA BS

I was thinking the same thing. But when the comments get back to Calhoun, maybe Alex will be "encouraged" to take a year off and finish up at another school. UMess would take him in a heartbeat.

It was just a little payback for calling me a ****ing moron for saying the basketball team has been street-balling since we were playing Butler. Inside stuff. Butler did lead at the half.

zls44...let it slide.

Doc, very good analysis. The inmates are running the asylum without JC

isn't this against boneyard rules.. why are you creeping around someones Facebook. Its HIS opinion .. Freedom of speech

his father was probably saying the same thing last season; but no one paid attention. WHY? because they were winning !!!

I'm not sure what some of these things have to do with each other. The Boneyard doesn't have any specific rules, nor can they enforce many of them--although many of us are 6'6", 250.

While I wouldn't go looking at Alex's dad's facebook page, it doesn't seem like the poster did either. He said he saw it in the comments. Who was Mr. Oriahki saying this to? It is his opinion, but he clearly wanted someone to read it as he made it public. The poster didn't steal his journal or anything.

About freedom of speech: nobody is arresting him. He's not going to jail, so it doesn't really apply. But if I take your logic, and imagine it somehow does, freedom of speech allows other people to criticize him without impunity as well.

I can't believe you didn't rip into him for "holier than know" (and some other typo/grammatical mistake). Someone said you are going soft, and I just might believe it!
