Do we have a realistic chance at CF? I thought it was a foregone conclusion he was going to Puke.Hopefully Cooper Flagg is taking notice as is the center from Boston!!

I’m sure Cal & the fans wanted him.Not sure about Cal not going to his games but I just was reading one of the Kentucky boards a few minutes ago and a few posters were not happy they didn’t get him. And I just read an article in Kentucky media got off the press lamenting another 2024 recruit that they didn’t get.
Trolling?Nobody signed.
When were we off his list? We offered him in April, watched all his games and he released a top 4 with UConn on it in June. Am I missing something? As I mentioned before, we were off Nowell’s list for a while and somehow got back on. Either it was the national championship, our coaching staff's persistence or both. I'm thrilled to have Nowell. He's going to be a great Husky.
Prior to that he had a list. Some things I read prior to April. It seemed like he was focused on other schools. When were we off his list? We offered him in April, watched all his games and he released a top 4 with UConn on it in June. Am I missing something?
I don't think that's accurate, there's no list anywhere other than his top 4. We were definitely late to his recruitment, but there's nothing posted anywhere publicly where he'd cut down his schools before we got involvedPrior to that he had a list. My guess is Melissa Hurley.Idk who this is, but for the theorists. Dan & Bob are both at the yanks game i believe.

If they lose Boogie Fland to UNC, what’s the back up plan?I’m sure Cal & the fans wanted him.
I don't think they really want Fland, even if Fland wants UK on his list. He's not good. Travis Perry is the guy for UK at PGIf they lose Boogie Fland to UNC, what’s the back up plan?
Boogie Fland was/is probably higher on their list. It’ll be interesting to see if they get him. UK offered him I believe during the summer of 2022. The natives are getting restless down there:I don't think they really want Fland, even if Fland wants UK on his list. He's not good. Travis Perry is the guy for UK at PG
Perry might well be a target as well but the media is pointing out the growing number of recruiting battles they’re losing out on. If Ngongba comes here and chooses UConn over UK, it would be great.I don't think they really want Fland, even if Fland wants UK on his list. He's not good. Travis Perry is the guy for UK at PG
I'm just going by their board. There's been very little talk of Fland and lots of talk about Perry. Maybe Calipari still wants Fland, and maybe they get him, but their own fans don't think soPerry might well be a target as well but the media is pointing out the growing number of recruiting battles they’re losing out on. I haven’t read enough on their boards to get a feel for their pulse on Fland. But it would seem more reasonable that they wanted him more than Nowell based on them offering Fland in July 2022 and Nowell only this April. It’s already been at least a one year plus courtship. That tells me that there’s a good amount of interest there.I'm just going by their board. There's been very little talk of Fland and lots of talk about Perry. I think they probably do, although I wouldn't read too much into the timing of offers. We offered Fland in November 2021 and Nowell in April 2023, and we seem to have just gotten a commitment from the guy we preferredI haven’t read enough on their boards to get a feel for their pulse on Fland. I’m very happy to get Nowell and get him on the earlier side. I like the player and it’s not worth the risk to lose out on a Fland late and be left with worse options. I think getting a high quality lead guard like Nowell will only help with Ngongba, Betsey, Swartz, Edgecombe types. I’ll go with a taliek and shabazz comboClosest former UConn comp? Boatright? Bazz? Kemba?
I’d say Khalid-Jezuz-TRex comboI’ll go with a taliek and shabazz combo
I’m not comparing the duos based on body types, but the last time we had a backcourt that got after the opponent mercilessly, we won it all.Nowell and Solo are gonna be the best defensive backcourt in their conference. Both came in with next level bodies, described as gritty/tough, and have great mentors on that end in the staff. Abraham is gonna feast on all those steals and fast breaks forced by our pressure.
I love those short stocky old big east type point guards. He could be a real throwback. As I mentioned before, we were off Nowell’s list for a while and somehow got back on. The expression "In their grill" was a perfect metaphor that was used that day for that pair when it came to getting defensibly up and in on opposing guards.I’m not comparing the duos based on body types, but the last time we had a backcourt that got after the opponent mercilessly, we won it all.
I remember the UK guards were visibly uncomfortable 25’ from the rim in the tournament. They weren’t thinking about running an offense-their sole focus was on not getting their pocket picked. Boatright and Napier’s ball pressure was unrelenting and wore teams down mentally and physically.
