I didn't think we'd get both her and Blanca to be honest. Similar positions, with Blanca having a major advantage defensively.

I’ve known for about a week now that South Carolina was the front runner for Agot. The earlier tweet was just confirmation.

According to msn.com, she just named a final 3 of SC, Michigan St & UConn

UConn: “It’s been my dream school ever since I was a kid. Them reaching out and wanting me to be part of their team has been kind of shocking, but at the same time, not really. They just make pros and that’s what attracts me to UConn.”
South Carolina: “It’s really good. I have a pretty good relationship with coach [Dawn] Staley. It’s one of the powerhouses of women’s basketball like UConn. It’s really cool to be recruited by them and I love what they do there for black women, especially. I really like that and I have a good relationship with the coaching staff, so I’m excited to get on campus.”
Michigan State: “Out of all of them, I have the best relationship with this coaching staff. Coach [Robyn] Fralick really knows what she’s talking about and she’s a winner. I really love what they’re doing at Michigan State and it’s close to home. It has a lot of pros – the facilities are elite.”

The answer is coming in less than 24 hours and we'll know for sure. Have to say, I like the fact that we have been guessing up until this final moment however. It's been fun debating this from different viewpoints. Regardless where she lands, I'll be a fan as she's fun to watch and has a lot of potential, especially for Canada Basketball international goals.

That is my reaction to all the top recruits we are in the hunt for. If they go elsewhere, I hope it is a team lower than us and not one of the best national contenders. Same thing in the portal.

From what is written on the UConn board it says that Caroline Ducharme is not taking part in Senior festivities on Sunday. If that’s the case the UConn will not have room for Agot unless another player decides to leave.

Chen and Griffin are leaving, and Paige says she is leaving. So that drops the roster down to eleven from fourteen.

Assuming Azzi (question mark) and Caroline both return, the three committed recruits - Gandy, Kelis and Blanca - bring us back to fourteen. So there would be room for one more unless Paige switched gears and came back.

Adding another player now could limit UConn's flexibility with the 2026 class though. If UConn misses out on Makeer, the silver lining could be more room for the 2026 class. There are a lot of keepers in that class. It would also open a spot for a one and done portal player for 2025-2026 if that were desired.

All assuming that everyone else on the roster not mentioned comes back.

Yes the 2026 class is potentially affected and the concept of opportunity cost is in play. It also applies to the portal IMO. I have mixed feelings about Agot, largely because of getting Blanca. If we didn't have her in the 2025 class, then Agot would be a very important target.

Now I am relatively indifferent on getting her vs. a 2026 option, or a key portal addition. In some ways keeping some dry powder with a portal option every year seems like a good strategy to me. You never know for sure who you might lose or at what position, so I think the intent shouldn't go beyond 14 anyway, keep one portal option open as insurance.

Guys...she's going to South Carolina! I don't think I've seen 'Skim Mulkey' give an incorrect prediction right before a commitment...and Agot is committing today. No other top recruits are as far as I know.

It stinks, but we've got Blanca coming in and she's going to be amazing. She's already playing against Pro's and playing great!
