I thought I had read somewhere that Bjorn had grown considerably and was now 6’2” or 6’3”?

(as opposed to the alternative PER (Player Efficiency Rating)), as used by the NBA:

= (PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK − Missed FG − Missed FT - TO) / GP [1]

[1] Link in Efficiency (basketball) - Wikipedia

Huh. That's really interesting. And it seems like a sort of reasonable metric as well. Thanks for the explanation.

Wonder what Caitlin Clark looks like on the "efficiency" metric, as she's leading the league in TO's, and isn't shooting well percentage-wise. Does the WNBA use this as well?

What makes Addison unique is her rare combination of size, skill, and basketball IQ that allows her to seamlessly transition between guard and forward positions. This positional flexibility is highly valued in modern basketball, making her an asset in various lineup configurations and against different opponent strategies.

Her ability to thrive in transition after securing defensive rebounds is particularly noteworthy, as it allows her team to quickly convert defense into offense. This skill, combined with her high basketball IQ in half-court sets, makes her a coach's dream in terms of offensive initiation and execution.

Defensively, Addison's versatility shines through in her ability to guard multiple positions and provide weak-side rim protection. This defensive flexibility, coupled with her rebounding ability, allows her to be a defensive anchor for her team.

After really watching her closely during the U17 competition,
she moves really well and has a quickness about her. She looks
like a Uconn type player. She was always looking for the open
teammate. I believe she has a Uconn offer.

New article about Addison Bjorn where she talks about recruiting. It’s got a pay wall so I am unable to read it, but the writer on Twitter tagged UConn, Kansas, Notre Dame, and Texas (so im guessing UConn is mentioned somewhere in the article). If anyone has access to it, I’d love to hear if Uconn is still in the mix for Addison!

I really like Bjorn’s game and she’ll be a nice pickup for someone. But female KD? This guy obviously hasn’t seen her shoot.
I've been checking on Husky Nan's Players of Interest (POI) birthdays. Addison Bjorn's birthday, per the FIBA webpage, is August 8, 2007. She is in the
class of 2026. Compare that with "Bean" Douglas (POI) who was born on September 16, 2008...Ms. Bean is in the CLASS OF
2028!!! One year difference in age (ok, approximately 57 weeks), but they are
still two years apart in H.S. graduation classes. There is some current
speculation in the "2028 Recruiting" thread for Ms. Bean about a
possible "urgency" to come to a decision. Maybe an early graduation?
