(as opposed to the alternative PER (Player Efficiency Rating)), as used by the NBA:

= (PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK − Missed FG − Missed FT - TO) / GP [1]

Huh. That's really interesting. And it seems like a sort of reasonable metric as well. Thanks for the explanation.

Wonder what Caitlin Clark looks like on the "efficiency" metric, as she's leading the league in TO's, and isn't shooting well percentage-wise. Does the WNBA use this as well?

It’s got a pay wall so I am unable to read it, but the writer on Twitter tagged UConn, Kansas, Notre Dame, and Texas (so im guessing UConn is mentioned somewhere in the article). If anyone has access to it, I’d love to hear if Uconn is still in the mix for Addison!
