Kansas or Iowa. I have heard suggestions North Carolina may have a chance, but I would be pretty stunned.

Why would Kansas even be a consideration? Locality and all, maybe, but I don't get it. Sure, Kansas if you're a guy but Jayhawks WBB has only made the NCAA's five times in the last 25 years. They've had some good recruiting recently, but still.

Is Kansas just throwing mad money at recruits?

Yes. They supposedly did it for local player, 2025 Jaliya Davis who signed with Kansas over LSU, Texas, and South Carolina. She's having a great freshman campaign so far.

They got a huge donation a few months ago; while most probably goes to men's hoops and football, I'm sure there's some for women's hoops, too.

Why not Kansas? Its gotta be an attractive idea to be the player that turns a school into a powerhouse

To be THE player to turn a school into a powerhouse it takes a Sarah Strong level talent. Self awareness should tell her that she’s not that level of player. Because she’s not. She’ll most likely be a good complimentary player in a strong program.

It always amazes me when top HS talent offered by UConn chooses to go to an inferior school!
I understand where some girls want to stay close to home, but if they have a chance to go the top stud producing school in Division I they choose otherwise!
After 4 years at a College they will go out on their own anyway, why not cut the strings and go for the most productive choice!
Choosing Kansas over UConn makes NO sense on any level!
JMHO!

Playing for a top team, and maybe especially UConn, requires a formidable commitment. For kids who aspire to play professionally, such schools are an obvious choice. But not all kids share that ambition. They may love to play, but have other ambitions.

I had a friend in high school who played football and got a few offers from powerhouse schools including ND and Syracuse. He ultimately chose Princeton even though it was a dead end for football. He said he loved football, but he didn’t love it enough to turn down a serious education and all that might lead to.

I think we have to remember that some players have other priorities than going to the top basketball school. What may seem like an inferior school to you may be the best of both worlds in terms of closeness to home, chemistry with coaches/teammates, and potential playing time for Addison. I think more and more we are seeing players choose schools where they can make the biggest impact and leave their legacy while also staying close to home. Players like A’ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, and JuJu Watkins are just a couple players that come to mind. Addison hasn’t announced where she’s going yet but people are acting as if she’s making a horrible mistake if it’s anywhere but UConn, and I just don’t think that’s the case.

Saw this on Twitter and checked her IG and she reposted his Twitter post. So seems legit. Hopefully it’s UConn

Looking at a lunch time on EST (12:15 on Thursday, 11/20/25) for coaches, it would narrow it down to UConn, uNd, UNC, and Duke, as they are in EST. From the past week's losses, unless she has the, "I can fix that!" attitude, it leaves UConn, who does not need "fixing" just more top players.

Whether it goes that way, UNKNOWN. However,

Go Huskies!!!

Texas or Kansas. I'll predict Kansas.

I don't mind being wrong! 🤣

I'd love to see her play for the Irish, but I just don't see it for a variety of reasons (such as having three other wings in this recruiting class). As such, I've predicted Kansas or Texas on a post on the Bench (and now here).
We'll all find out soon enough.

When I think of a commitment as a one year commitment. When I calibrate my thinking and view it that way. I think Kansas makes a ton of sense.

I have also seen some Texas murmurs though. So, I think that could happen.

Any school other than: South Carolina; LSU; Texas; Notre Dane; Duke; Southern Cal; UCLA or Tennessee. 😊
The post says Texas. You are out of luck.

If Addison selects UConn, great! but if she doesn't then it is not the end of the world. Even as a diehard fan, I dont feel inclined to think every top recruit should have to pick UConn. If they feel it is not the right fit for them then so be it. UConn is not for everyone.

Most likely in regard to Bjorn's announcement in about an hour.
