ACC Big East merger

Wow, that's a whole lot of words instead of just saying "BC" (or whatever.). One wonders why it's so important to you to hide your rooting interest that you'd rather resort to lengthy word salad. Aren't fans supposed to be proud of their teams?
I've made it clear why: is not relevant and I'm trying to stay on topic. You guys are OBSESSED, and truthfully at this point that's funnier to me than to just tell you. But, I'd rather get back on topic...

I'm not here to bash or troll. I'm here to discuss realignment. That's it. Who I root for just isn't relevant to the topic. We'll be fine. It's everything else on the board that interests me.

I don't think being proud of your team is necessary for being a fan.

I wouldn't say obsessed, but I'm certainly interested. Why a guy would be ashamed of the team that he supposedly roots for. It just seems kind off.

I'm not ashamed. Not even kind of. It's. Just. Not. Relevant. I'm not ashamed. I'm not scared. I'm just not here to discuss my team. I'm here to discuss realignment. Why's this difficult to grasp for you?

.-.

Big state school and marquee hoops, but yeah, Kansas might very well be a pass.

It does look like the GOR is going to hold, but at some point I have to believe that the Big or maybe the SEC take UNC and Virginia off the table, much like they did with USC and UCLA.

We’re a big state school with marquee hoops and look at that’s been going.

I think if the BigTen had interest in Kansas, something would have happened already.

Why would you be scared?
Good question, but it was suggested that I might be. I'm not. I'm just not wanting to make this about my team. I'm here for realignment talk. The obsession at this point is sort of proving my point...

Well, because the path of least resistance, and frankly normal interaction on a fan board, would be to say oh I'm a fan of team. So, when you see someone from that and spend so much time to avoid what's considered a common courtesy, you have to wonder what he so embarrassed about?

So, what are you so embarrassed about being a fan of this particular team that you're so uncomfortable admitting to it?

.-.
I'd describe them as less obsessed over who someone roots for if they're otherwise trying to stay on topic.
With the “y’all” in an earlier post, that does not scream BC. With “Red” in your name, I’m thinking NC State. Virginia Tech is more maroon than red, but the fan forum always has lots of good conference realignment talk. The only other schools that come to mind are possibly Houston or Alabama.

OK, now I’m getting a little too obsessed.

Nope. Again; I'm not wanting to make this about my team (which you guys clearly are). I'm just here to discuss realignment. This isn't rocket science. Stop overthinking it, and let's discuss realignment. The fact that you've gone on and on for multiple pages now proves my point.

Welcome to the Boneyard. This (going on and on) is what many of our posters do. Best to move on with your posts/points and ignore those trying to route you out.

The handle Red Rabbit has me thinking he's a Marist alum and if the 84 is his birth year, the poor slob wasn't even able to apprecite the Rik Smits years.

Just answer the question Claire.

That would explain the embarrassment.

There are more people accused of being BC fans here than there are actual BC fans. It's an impossibility.
It's possible when you consider that one man can create multiple accounts...

Honestly, I don't care enough about any of this to go through the BS hassle of doing that. I am exactly as I said I am, and nothing more: a guy interested in discussing realignment on what I consider the best realignment board still going. I'm not interested in talking about my team here. I've watched for awhile without chiming in, and I'm only commenting on things now because there seems to be a shift towards basketball and that's good for you guys.

Like I've said, I honestly don't really care if y'all die on the vine or not. I've zero attachment to UConn. I just think, for y'all's sake, the clouds seem to be opening. Honestly, I'm only interested in so far as how that impacts realignment overall. I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a chuckle out of UConn getting kicked in the dick in the past, but I mean it when I say I come in peace and to just discuss realignment. I'm not interested in trolling, I'm not interested in talking about my team. Just here for realignment. That's it.

this is why i'm glad i earned my anti-bc chops before coming to uconn.

Could be rutgers which is embarrassing but not as bad as bcu. Hey, rather be lucky than good, right? louisville has come on hard times. cuse really sucks now and is where I'd place my bet with red autry. certainly has an ACC tilt but could be neither red nor rabbit. yep, i'm going with cuse.

Hard to say. Rutgers season with two perspective NBA players on it is embarrassing, I grant you that and Cuse and Louisville are absolutely miserable, but fans of those programs have at least some remaining vestiges of self-respect. The rabbit doesn't appear to have any. It feels like he's From a G5 program, that's never achieved anything. His embarrassment in his fandom seems pretty well ingrained. Or maybe he's not a fan of any program, he seems young, like high schooler young.

....maybe its me, but I don't care who this guys is a fan or not a fan of because he is not a fan of UConn. If he wants to come and talk re-alignment - then I am willing to read his posts. But in truth scrolling through and see these passive - aggressive jabs at who he is or is not a fan of is comical at best - annoying at worst. So if his re-alignment questions are not based on his team's potential of being affected by it but it is a topic that he is simply fascinated with - take him at his word and move on. If he does have more of a bias and it is more than just an innocent fascination - the truth will always come out. So - I welcome his opinions on realignment but I likely would dislike his posts on whoever he rooted for.

Lol sounds like the same guy

comical at best works for me. coming to the yard and not expecting us to beat a dead horse until the truth comes out. the nerve. at least know your audience if you want to be taken seriously. CR affects most programs but none more so than UConn. I like to know who is saying what about UConn, especially if they are a fan of the P3 conference, the Big XII.

Not a Pitt fan, either. Sorry. "Rabbit in Red" is the name of the strip club Michael's mom dances at in Rob Zombie's Halloween movie and I shortened it for a handle cause I like Rob Zombie. The 84, obviously, is the year I was born.

Watching you guys wildly extrapolate and assume that I'm embarrassed, when I've made clear that isn't the reasoning, is humorous... But.. I'd really like to get back on topic now.
