Actually Mair has been way more than decent this semester. How many Duke games have you watched since Jan 1 ?
Exactly. The fact that you have to say this lets me know that there are too many people with bold opinions who don't know anything about the ACC.

No one is doubting Mair is a good player. But she’s not a PG that can take this team to a Final Four.

This was true last season. However, her play this year lets me know that if we don't make the Final Four, it likely won't be because of her. There are other, far more pressing concerns (lack of a true center, lack of consistent scoring in offense that is tied to COACHING) that will keep this year's team out of the Final Four.

Maybe 2 or 3. I didn’t say she was bad. I merely observed that standard plays in a half court offense seemed to elude her. She is good at transition offense, which happens to be Duke’s bread and butter.

Or, better yet, is she Olivia Miles, Hannah Hidalgo, or Ta'Niya Latson?
Mair played an ok game vs Hidalgo and while she was the high scorer for Duke with 15 points 2 assists 4 turnovers 0 steals, Duke lost by 15. Hidalgo had 19 points 4 assists 2 turnovers plus 3 steals. So while she isn't a Hidalgo she was at least in the direction of one.

Indeed I did. That was sloppy of me. I was mainly trying to say what I noticed about Duke's offense, which seems to me to be limited by its PG play. To be perfectly clear, I think Mair is good in some aspects of the PG position, but not all of them. And the fact that Duke is so good at defense and transition, but not half-court offense is not an accident. It's a direct reflection of their guard play. Imagine how good this group could be if they could consistently run a pic-n-roll play, for example.

Interesting...The announcers for the Pitt-Virginia game mentioned that Lattimore has another year of eligibility remaining. First time I've heard anyone mention this is the case.

Had wondered if Miami had applied for a medical redshirt when she suffered her ACL but didn't see anything back then. Something to monitor. She could benefit from another year if she's looking to have a pro career somewhere.

I thought Stanford was showing some signs of life late in the season....nope, never mind. Getting thumped by Clemson in the ACC tourney.

I remember, when the season started and UVA was “introducing” their new players, they mentioned that she had 2 years of eligibility left.
