UNC is going to all online for fall semester. Sending students home for the time being. Since there are no students, doesn’t that mean no football?

Burn it all down and start over again. Love college sports but this is a joke
Oh it might just implode- elements exist to do just that over the next decade.

Sounds like only the athletes will be on campus. Imagine that. The student body pays for school and stays home while the scholarship Athletes have run of the entire campus.

Have run of the entire campus? The only thing that will be open are their dorms/apartments and the football facility.

Take your word if you have direct contact and that may be the intention. But there's also an awareness of what makes for good public consumption. We'll see.

The Duke doctor and chair of the ACC Medical Advisory Board was right after all. You can mitigate the virus while playing football. He said it would be very difficult and very expensive but it is possible...

Schools are bleeding money from loss of room and board fees. If these P5 schools can pull a UNC, they'll try it in a heartbeat. It allows them to collect that sweet paycheck to try and offset some of the damage loss of room and board fees will be. However, I can only imagine how high that must be. At Weslyan, I know that they lost $10 million on Room and Board just from the end of the year last year. That's from a small liberal arts college. I can't imagine what a state school like UNC will lose.
