I'm sure he was trying to help, but that's an absolute embarrassment to Georgetown. It means a local kid who, along with his father, loves the coach but doesn't see any hope in the near future to even include them in a group of 8 schools he's considering.

He just put Cooley in the Friend Zone. "Call me when you get hotter."

Bahaha, it's hard to pick out the funniest part of this because it's all gold. The basketball equivilant of getting turned down in high school by a hot girl because you're an ugly loser.

"Georgetown is a really great guy, but I don't think we should date because that would just ruin the great friendship we have. But that doesn't take anything way from what an incredible person Georgetown is. I love him, but just as friends."

Bahahahaha.

Haha, typed my response without seeing this

He’s probably looking to be in school for a year or so. It’s not a bad thing to say their timelines don’t match.

I’m sure if Cooley can begin to turn things around the kids in the area will remember how recruitments like this were handled.

Sometimes you have to plant seeds.

Stringing together the highlights makes a better impression than watching the game in it's entirety. I'm most impressed that someone could make that 1 player highlight clip in such a short time since the game. Did Cue the Music actually do that work?

Being a lefty PG wearing a shirt under his jersey the comparison will be inevitable.

That lefty whip pass through the lane, the fade wing 3, he has some similarities. I love any lefty PG, a smooth passing shooter is my wet dream. Kendall Marshall, Jalen Brunson, etc.

Syracuse has a great pitch at the moment. We brought in 2 exciting guards. One went to the draft and went undrafted. The other guy was a former 5* who transferred in last season put up a 100 ORTG and no draft buzz whatsoever. Also we've missed 3 straight NCAA tournaments.

would be thrilled if he signed up to be our 3rd string PG as a frosh. Hopefully he isnt adamant about PT his first year cause he could split PG duties w/ Nowell as a soph and beyond.

Might as well be a list of 7 schools:

Spoiler alert but top 40 recruit and Syracuse don't usually mix.

Acaden Lewis plays for Eric Singletary at Sidwell--as good a high school coach as you'll find. Saddiq Bey and Josh Hart played for him, too. Singletary has built a powerhouse at Sidwell, and his kids play incredible defense. You have to be tough to play on that squad. Don't be fooled by the school name; that's a real program with smart, tough, and great kids. If there is a coach who will prep a kid for Hurley, Singletary is the one.

I love this kid. I think him and Thomas would be an insane frosh backcourt.

The competition is a tough sell, but every top 5 program has multiple high level recruits, we shouldn’t be any different. He’s legit, he won’t be too worried about it.

Can second that from the hs games I watched. They don't have the same talent as a Paul VI, Montverde or LuHi every year, but they play a fun brand of ball. Very good defensively, and it shows.with Lewis's effort on the boards especially.

Another positive is Lewis has the ball in his hands every possession in hs. Tons of reps to keep building his skillset. I do think the program needs to tighten up their offense. From the 4 games I saw, it was a bit erratic and disorganized when they faced adversity.
