Abraham is in the portal

Disappointed and actually a little suprised by this this. Granted we didn't get to see much of him this year, but he really looked promising during the open practice earlier in the year. Figured he was just behind too many wings, but with AK and LM likely going pro, thought he'd have a good opportunity.

I was excited to see his development throughout his time at UConn, but wishing Abraham the best of luck w/ his new team.

Abraham was offered by Providence, Xavier, Marquette, Villanova and Seton Hall, amongst others, before committing to UConn, so would be nice to see him stay in the Big East. Other more recent offers included Mississippi State, Tennessee and Arizona State.

Being behind too many wings this year may mean being behind too many wings next year. Just a different set of wings.

Hopefully a sign that a couple of the guys ahead of him are sticking around for our 7th championship next season

Not shocked - bit disappointed. Felt like he could have contributed at a high level if he stuck around. I wonder if the seton hall accountant walk-on blowing by him will help or hurt his transfer portal stock. (I am joking around, but that was a funny sequence).

Not surprised. My guess is he ends up somewhere like Richmond or VCU and contributes at that level
It would be interesting if Richmond added a second UConn guy. They already have Roumoglou.

As a casual observer, Abraham seemed like a good kid and a hard worker. I was looking forward to seeing him as the next great college undersized 4 at UConn, but best of luck to him wherever he lands (which doesn't necessarily include best wishes for that universities basketball program).

Would have liked to see what he looked like next year if he could have earned 15 minutes of playing time. Kid definitely "looked" the part of a D1 front court player.
Would have been nice to see what he could do with more PT (and take the Solo route as far as going from barely playing frosh -> regular as soph) but owell.
