Yes mebbe not lead the team in scoring but I did point out, early on, how special she was and certainly capable of scoring in bunches, eh?

And besides her 25 point outburst against Seton Hall, can you identify those bunches, eh?;)

Mebbe not lead the team in scoring???? How about she's not even in the top 5. Like we told you it was gonna be, unless really, really bad things happened to this team. And one of them, Westbrook denied, did happen. And she's still not in the top 5.

Come on, put on your big boy pants and admit you were wrong. "Yea, I was completely out to lunch, I don't know what I was thinking."

Look, we knew she was as athletic as h*ll. And we hoped/thought she could have an impact on the team, which she has. But lead the team in scoring???? No freaking way.

p.s. She's most likely not leading the team in scoring next year either. Look, she might (might) eventually be as good as Gabby Williams (which would be unbelievable if she could get there), but still, Williams never led the team in scoring. Even as a 2 time AA.

Aubrey is potentially a really good player. But she's never going to lead the team in scoring during her four years. Let's be more concerned about whether she's a national champion.

I think she's got a much better chance of being a NC than leading the team in scoring. I'd prefer that anyway.

Next to Liv, Aubrey will be the best WNBAer from this current team .. and she has her family to back that up.
We'll see about her scoring over the next four years, eh? You have your ideas; and I have mine :)
Let's have fun with her journey :)

Really, more amazing that after your off the charts prediction for Griffin was so wrong you would go off on someone wondering if 3 players who have never played a minute of D1 ball, plus a reserve has not shown much offensive versatility could consistently score at this level as a group. And for the record, Griffin has generally played very well in a specialist role, I am only commenting on her offense.
i m not talking bout scoring but i m talking bout winning! the old fashioned way, with defense and rebounding, a worthwhile scheme, eh?

No, i m not out-to-lunch ... have our team-leading scorers helped us against SC, Oregon or Baylor?

Are you possibly saying that Liv, Paige, Aaliyah, Mir & Aubrey can't put the ball in the hoop? Amazing!

What nonsense, last time I looked putting “the ball in the hoop” had everything to do with scoring and nothing to do with defense and rebounding, eh.

Aubrey has the ability to be a NDPOY. But in order to do that she will have to earn more PT. In order to do that she has to improve her offense. Specifically, Aubrey has to be a better finisher at the rim. In addition she has to develop a consistent jump shot. She doesn’t necessarily have to be able to shoot well from the arc, so long as she can develop a decent 15-20’ shot, similar to Gabby’s.

Well, they've helped us a lot more than Griffin did in those games. What was it? 5 points total in those 3 games?? Eh?

You may be right. You may be more like out to breakfast, not sure you've even made it to lunch time, eh?.

Dude, man you gotta stop this stuff. Coming up with crazy stuff is not a good look. You know the story of the boy who cried wolf?

We'll see about her scoring over the next four years, eh? You have your ideas; and I have mine :)
Oh yea. And never the twain shall meet it seems. And so far, not looking so good for your ideas.

Let's have fun with her journey :)
Well, I'm gonna have fun. But I'm thinking you're gonna be disappointed.

Easier said than done. There's a plethora of talented athletes that have never become good offensive players ... to presume that all it takes is a little practice is bogus .... you've got to have good offensive instincts, as well and I haven't seen anything to suggest that she has those instincts .... if she helps UConn win games I'm a happy man but I am uncertain why so many people here suggest that she'll be anything but a nice player?

I really like our 2 freshman. Aubrey and Anna are both going to be excellent players for the next 3 years. Aubrey has unlimited potential and reminds me of Gabby a lot. I could definitely see her getting NDPOY by the time she is a senior.

I venture to say that she'll never approach Gabby on any level but particularly on the offensive side. Gabby became a very nice offensive weapon for the Huskies and that was a nice surprise but it doesn't happen too frequently, no matter how much practice time some kids put in

You sound like a TN coach. You gotta be able to put the ball in the hoop.
I believe the TN philosophy "defense and rebounding" has won a few games .. like more than anybody else, eh?

Not recently. Which is kind of the point. Times have changed, TN hasn't. Don't want UCONN playing like that, rather them win NC's.
