UConn should put out a statement that they too will also decline any bowl invitations this year.
These bowls are simply embarrassments and I hope the teams involved and sponsors suffer significant financial disaster. I also hope any senior or junior with a shot at the draft has the common sense to opt out of playing.
So Carolina 2-8 (Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla v UAB)
Mississippi St. 2-7 (Lockheed Martin Armed Forces v #24 Tulsa)
Tennessee 3-7 (Auto Zone Liberty Bowl v WVU)
Arkansas 3-7 (Texas Bowl v TCU)
Kentucky 4-6 (Tax Slayer Gator v. #23 NC State)
Houston 3-4 (New Mexico v Hawai'i)
N. Texas 4-5 (Myrtle Beach v App St)
Ole Miss 4-5 (Outback Bowl vs #11 Indiana)
W. Kentucky 5-6 (Lending Tree v Georgia St.)
Honestly, what is wrong with all these losing SEC teams accepting bids? Have they no pride whatsoever?
Army works in mysterious ways...
Two things #1- If you are a senior it will be the last time you ever suit up and play. These bowls are simply embarrassments and I hope the teams involved and sponsors suffer significant financial disaster.
