Funny enough, I said a couple months ago when things were trending downward that I was having nightmares about seeing Mississippi State in the first round and running back the Hurley - Chris Jans debacle with New Mexico State. Alabama might hit 15+ 3s on our defense. But I agree they’d be a better matchup than Auburn, Houston, or Florida.

Not sure how we can like any matchup being on the 7,8 or 9 line. Creighton was projected as a 9 before they made us look like a Crown team for 30 minutes then when we ha a chance our “star” player was involved in four of the five game changing moments and went 0 for 4 in getting the job done.
Whoever we play in the first round will be as good or better than us. It is what it is this year. We do a few things well and we are really bad in several key areas. We will root for our team on Thursday or Friday hope for the best and when the season ends it ends.

Totally agree. Auburn, Duke, Florida, Houston, Tennessee, Michigan State, St. John’s, and Alabama are all way better than us. Some matchups are better than others but it would take our best game to stand a chance.
Specifically matters for automatic different regions for top 4 seeds, and that's only St. John's. But they will avoid putting any of the 8/9 teams into St. John's region if they get a 4 seed. If they're a 2 or 3, they won't put any of us that get a 7 into their region either.
