Ol' Vic strikes again. This game will never have quite the "historical cachet" of the UConn/MState game, but in terms of level of accomplishment, it's in the same ballpark, IMO.

I don't think it's anywhere close honestly, but Vic is a hell of a coach.

I'm shocked!!! I didn't see this one coming. I had this one completely wrong. I thought Maryland would run Texas out of the arena. Congratulations to Texas, Vic Schaefer and his team. Charli Collier showed up tonight. 16/11. Texas held the number 1 scoring team in the country to 30 points below their average.

Some good teams were sent home this weekend. Texas vs South Carolina on Tuesday. After this game, I wouldn't too quick to count Texas out vs SC. If they can beat Maryland, they can beat SC. Wouldn’t THAT be an upset?

I don’t think Brenda is a bad coach even though we all love to take jabs at her but her teams on the biggest collapse under pressure. Just not mentally tough to push forward through adversity at times.

Did you see that stretch where MD was getting fast breaks on made baskets? Even Lobo was stunned by that. That doesn't happen organically; that's coaching & practice.

Even if he loses to Dawn, the fact that robbed an Elite 8 against a team lots of people thought could win the National Title has got to have Longhorn fans jumping up and down. And when you consider what they have coming in next year + possibly Jessika Carter.... WOW. They're gonna leave lots of teams in the dust soon.
