#6 Mississippi St @ South Florida - 12/05/20

smh they needed to win in regulation.... i got dinner to fetch

If USF hit one free throw they win the game no OT...LOL

.-.
Going to OT
Pinzan should be able to get her triple double now.

Cant believe people were giving Baylor a hard time for a close game with USF. They are a good team.

You mean earlier in the game?
USF missed 5 FT but MSU missed 11.

I’m not sure about taking a three as their last shot.

USF up by 2 with 29 seconds left and MSU ball. Can someone, ANYONE, explain to me why Jose does not put any of his players in the foul lane on his own Free Throws??? A random bounce could land in your teams hands. To me, that's a stupid strategy...

USF wins 67-63

This was a very enjoyable game actually. USF should easily enter the top 25 and MSU will fall to the 10-12 slot. All told, MSU needs to improve their outside shooting and free throws. Kudos to them for going to South Florida.

To me, Baylor is clearly better than MSU. Their top 3 players are far better than the top 3 from MSU.

What. A. Game.

To be frank, it's poetic justice after some people heaped dismissiveness onto South Florida after they gave Baylor more than a good tussle.

Some even said it must've been "a mental thing" with Baylor, since of course there could be no plausible explanation in the physical realm for that game to have been competitive.

I guess that "mental" malaise has also afflicted the fortunes of MSU, karma being what it is. :D :p

This one goes out to all the USF haters, and they know who they are :)

9 turnovers for Jackson. Sheesh.

Mississippi State is deep, talented, and tough, but I’m surprised Cooks hasn’t been more of a factor. Schafer had referred to her as “unguardable” at times in the past. Her development might be important for MSST. If she doesn’t start to produce more, Matharu is more than ready to step in.

Most of those were travels and offensive fouls too

Jackson’s ceiling is just ridiculous if she can sharpen a few pieces of her game. To have that kind of agility and handle at 6’3 — enough said.

Do Angel Reese and Jackson remind you of each other? Their games seem very similar to me.

I'm not a USF hater, but that was me who said that. Laugh away.

Love how USF's point guard protects the ball with her backside. MSU has quick guards but they aren't creating havoc against the opposing team's point guard like they usually can. USF's point guard is excellent at starting the USF offense. One of the best point guards I've seen this season.
I think that is a weakness in her game, dribbling with her back to the basket. How can she see the whole court? She is effective but I think her handle is not very strong if she has to do that. I believe most coaches would prefer their point guard dribble facing the defense, maybe.

I remember Louisville had a point guard who did the same thing a few years back, Lol it always looked funny to me.
