This might well be the game of the day. Intriguing matchup.

Can Hillmon and Brown generate enough O?

Voepel: The best news for Tennessee on Sunday was the play of Rennia Davis and Rae Burrell (combined 46 points) and how well the Lady Vols shot from 2-point range. Things weren't good for them from behind the arc (2 of 12), but inside it they were 31 of 51 (60.8%).

Tennessee's game Tuesday (ESPN2/ESPN App, 5 p.m. ET) against No. 6 seed Michigan could be one of the best of the second-round matchups. Naz Hillmon is the Big Ten player of the year and had her 14th double-double this season, with 14 points and 13 rebounds, in the Wolverines' victory over Florida Gulf Coast. Fellow junior Leigha Brown had a season-high 28 points, and slowing down that combo will require a strong defensive performance if the third-seeded Lady Vols are to avoid an upset.

UT is the better team but they will have to play their A game to get by. The LVs look like world beaters some games and a high school team others. If the former shows up, it will be an easy win.

Glad this game is at 5 pm EST. Won't be challenged with being distracted from my work today.

UT definitely has a height advantage as well, especially with UM being without their 6'4" post from Brazil. Guard play is to their advantage as well, especially with Dilk not being available to UM. The challenge for UT's bigs is staying out of foul trouble. Their bench depth for bigs isn't what I thought would be this year.

Conflicted as I like players on both sides. Glad that I'm not an alum from either school ?

Literally all of Tennessee points are off offensive rebounds.

That will be the case with Tenn. It's going to be a challenge for Michigan.

Leigha Brown is helping Michigan. Her scoring takes some pressure off of Hillmon.

Leigha Brown wasn't even a starter before transferring from Nebraska? Wow, that's a surprise. Nebraska's loss was a big gain for Michigan.

Surprised to hear that too. But Brown did want to be closer to home. Not sure how Nebraska can combat that.

Hillmon hasn't really been tearing it up in the Tourney like she did most of the season.

We need more Caitlin Clarks and Paige Bueckers in WCBB . This is a pretty tough game to watch.

This is a Michigan team that got blown out in the conference tournament vs Northwestern — and they had Dilk available for that one.

Big 10 wishlist for 21-22:

— Wing defender for Iowa
— 3-point shooter for Michigan
— Vaccines for Rutgers
— No transfers out of Maryland
— No recruiting sanctions at OSU

It's weird. I think I kept reading about how Big 10 teams weren't very good and played no defense. Somehow they seem to be matching up pretty well against SEC teams today. And playing some defense?

Maybe the SEC teams offenses are complete trash and make the Big 10's D look better than what it is. Food for thought...
