Destanni with a nice and1 to start the game. Hopefully that gets her going for a productive night offensively.

Beal not looking hesitant to take her shot so far.

Does Bama have a new arena? I recall a very old style arena where all the seats were up a level

I wouldn’t mind seeing an upset in this game.

Catchings has come along a lot in her speaking. Good for her.

Coleman Coliseum, where they are playing tonight, is their newest basketball arena, and it opened in 1968. It replaced Foster Auditorium for the men's program: Foster remained the facility for women's basketball and volley ball until recently I believe.

Foster Auditorium is much older, opening back in the 1930s I believe. It was the building that earned some infamy from the Alabama Governor George Wallace in 1963 who stood blocking the front entrance barring access to two black students. I think the Tide WBB played there until 2016 or so, so that may be the older facility you're remembering. It only held some 3,000 capacity....

Curry had zero chance of competing in that tiny gym they were relegated to. Good for Bama moving them to their main arena a couple years ago. Seems to be paying off some.

A rash of fouls for Alabama in that 2nd Period. They have been a pretty good team with low personal fouls and low turnovers into tonight's games, but they also have played a fairly soft schedule to this point, so perhaps they haven't been tested yet. They only have 2 TOs thus far however, so doing well there.....

Hopefully Amihere will calm down and play a better 2nd half. Four TO’s by LA in the first.

Another 3rd-quarter surge by a Gamecock opponent. Our defense needs some work......

Those quick 5 pts at the end of the 3rd made the period for USC look better. We're shooting horrible at the charity stripe....

Saxton having a little offensive explosion, which helps.....she's scored 9 2nd half points, with most of the 4th period left to play....

Definitely miss those two mid 80%-ers that went on to the W.

Lele not having any semblance of a jump shot has been, for me, one of the most frustrating things these last couple of seasons. Head bang
