Bottom 5th, St. John's pitchers giving up walks and wild pitches again, UConn has runners on the corners with 1 out. Infield hit by Morton brings in a run, 9-0 UConn.

Morton is batting .500 on the year. Gonna be tough to take him out of the lineup.

Morton has taken advantage of the playing time he has gotten due to injuries and such. I was thinking after the lineup came out today that this lineup could pretty much be the standard lineup for the rest of the season, assuming of course the offensive production keeps up.

Funny, at the beginning of the season, while it looked like Morton and Padilla would get some playing time coming off the bench. I doubt any fans figured they would end up being in the everyday starting lineup.

Top 6th, a scoreless inning for Stefanoni.

California JUCO Curren Larson was warming up in the bullpen that inning, Larson has not yet pitched in a game for UConn this season.

First two batters walked to start the bottom of the 6th, but we almost fail to score before a wild pitch brings one in. Doubt that happens in a regional. Something for Penders to harp on I guess.

Bottom 6th, Red Storm pitching at it again, giving up 2 walks with no outs, and a 2 out wild pitch brings in a run to make it 10-0 UConn. 9 walks and 7 wild pitches by St. Johns pitchers today.

Top 7th, Stefanoni with a scoreless inning. He is at 86 pitches. It wouldn't surprise me if that was his last inning, considering next weekend he will be getting a start a day early on Saturday due to Easter.

Bottom 7th, UConn goes down in order as UConn starts putting bench players in the game.

Devin Kirby coming in to pitch the top of the 8th.

Bottom 8th, UConn goes down in order. 10-0 Huskies.

Top 9th, Bobby McBride in to pitch for UConn. Chris Jones says McBride has been pitching with a leg injury this season.

Top 9th, with 1 out and 2 runners on base (a single and an infield error), McBride comes out due to injury. Garrett Coe coming in to pitch.

Nice weekend!

What a great weekend! Everyone did their put and buried the Jonnies! Great start to Big East play!

UConn certainly buried St. John's this weekend, but I have to say that with the way they played the Red Storm provided UConn with a shovel or two.

excellent. You have to win the games you're supposed to win. If we want a shot at bigger and better we need to win the BE outright.

Happy with the sweep. I do hope the NBE gets more competitive. Onward
