Bottom 8th, Padilla with a 1 out double, but is stranded on base. 4-1 UConn.

Christian Fedko pinched hit for Morton, Zach Stephenson coming in to play right field in the bottom of the 9th.

Willis closes the door and UConn wins the series! Not the prettiest of weekends especially after a 19-2 blowout but a series win always helps

Baseball being what it is, a series win is certainly the goal. Sweeps in baseball are tough to come by, even against not so good teams. But if you can manage a sweep, so much the better.

Coach Penders said UConn's defense was a big factor in today's win, which is not something you could say for most of the games this season so far. Donlan and Padilla both had excellent defensive games today. Small ball was also a factor today in the UConn win as well, not something you can always say this season.
