Isn’t Stonehill Division 2 until this upcoming year?

Holy Cross has one national title, two final fours, and four sweet sixteens. Providence has zero national titles, two final fours, and six sweet sixteens. UConn has four national titles, five final fours, and seventeen sweet sixteens. Yes, we are new money but our money is more than those had combined.

Great topic. I look forward to the debate. Quick question: would Holy Cross be ahead of us in football?

Quinnipiacs latest success in hockey may allow them to jump up the list a bit. Other than that the only thing that sticks out for me is Dartmouth, why? I ask that seriously as if I may be missing something.

I should have clarified: this is for basketball. Dartmouth has two final four appearances.

And their old money has severely deflated.

I dunno - in my book you'd have to weigh level of competition and so I'd say Holy Cross would fall out of my top 3 seeing that they've been leveled down for ~ 50 years.

Dartmouth made it during the early 40s - the war years
But back in the 40s and 50s the NCAA was the secondary tournament to the NIT

Holy Cross "won" their championship and Final Fours in 8 team fields 75 years ago. They don't deserve to be #2 over PC

I would rate UMass higher than Dartmouth based on number of tournament participations

Maybe they get extra credit because Bob Cousy went there ;)

I love UConn basketball but I don't see how you can put them above Providence or Holy Cross historically.

Huh?

UMass- Dr. J, Calipari, Camby, Travieso, Bruiser Flint, Jeff Viggiano...

BCU? Aren’t they a southern team, because I’m pretty sure they play in a southern conference.
