I don’t really see it. I like Addy’s game: strong rebounder, good mobility, decent handles and good midrange and perimeter shot. But Geno is pretty well stocked with 6’2” players. She’d just clog the development path for them, especially Morgan. It’s the same for St. Rose — she’d be a nice addition if the backcourt wasn’t already so stocked.
Crooks is a junior, so she's staying in college unless she skips out on her senior year. A lot of high scoring players have transferred out of their school to compete for a title at a contender. If Crooks wants the same amount of touches, I agree that she should stay at Iowa St. I can imagine Crooks going somewhere and taking a lesser role for a contender. She meshed well on the USA team last summer.
Given the last 4-5 years of roster turnover at Ames, the school and Fennelly might want to consider "retirement" but I have heard that Bill is posturing for his son to take over the program. I can't think of one situation where that has gone well although my sample size is limited to Ray Meyer to Joey Meyer, Bob Knight to Patrick Knight and this year Bruce Pearl to his son....

Agree on St Rose, but not on Addy. You are right that we have a number of 6-2 players, but I consider Blanca and Morgan more 3's than 4's, so from my perspective we do not have a proven backup 4 to Sarah. Ayanna is not the answer, Blanca is needed more at the 3, and Morgan might be able to play it but is better at the 3 and has not proven anything in her limited minutes a very long time ago.
Geno is in an awfully good position going into next year. He’s loaded at guard and forward with the Gatorade NPOY coming in to compete for the starting center spot with Jana. That doesn’t mean he won’t take a look at the portal. But any transfer he considers is going to have to be pretty darn talented to crack the lineup.
You make a good point. And this may be what Geno is thinking too. But I'm not sold on it -- as if my opinion matters!

She picked up quick. I was surprised. Almost averaged a double double as a Freshman. UCONN could use a player LIKE her. Lol She can play the 4 or 5 instinctively. Shot mechanics are very good and with a lil more work I can see her even play the 3. Definitely under the radar all year. Syracuse played a lot of different lineups struggling to find the right mix. All the ingredients just weren’t there. Respectable showing in the ACC.
