That would be great for both parties (and not so great for the rest of the SEC). I'm hoping that she'll at least consider Columbia first.

But given all she's been through, she deserves a shot at a title!

She picked up quick. I was surprised. Almost averaged a double double as a Freshman. UCONN could use a player LIKE her. Lol She can play the 4 or 5 instinctively. Shot mechanics are very good and with a lil more work I can see her even play the 3. Definitely under the radar all year. Syracuse played a lot of different lineups struggling to find the right mix. All the ingredients just weren’t there. Respectable showing in the ACC.

Uhm, maybe she picked up quick cause she's a 21 year old with three years of pro experience? She literally has more experience than any other player in WCBB and yet we're talking about her like she's a rookie...

Jada to Austin would be a shocker IMO. Bryanna Preston is a great fit to take over next year, playing 2 years behind Harmon. I also could see Vic moving Booker back to playing PG like she did as a freshman. She did a great job running the show.

With Azzi moving to the WNBA UConn lacks an experienced high level shooter for next season imo. One player that might realistically enter the portal and would be great fit/get for UConn is S'Mya Nichols from Kansas.

Just because she has benefited from the system doesn't seem to me to preclude her from commenting on it.

A lot of high profile players being mentioned here, but there are lots of less high profile players who are going to end up where? And I know that some fans like to say "well, enter the portal and you can come back if it doesn't work out". Sounds nice, but at the one Becky Burke radio show we attended she was asked - this was well over a month ago - about what if someone enters the portal and she made it very clear that she would not want that player back. I'm sure a lot of coaches feel that way.

Nichols I don't see as a fit playing style wise. She thrives of driving to the basket and drawing contact. Doesn't take many 3pt shots. UCONN runs a pass heavy offense that doesn't play to her strengths, not to mention they have a slew of guards/wings that will fill into Azzi's role and know the system better.

If she enters the portal I see her landing in the SEC. South Carolina, Ole Miss or Kentucky could be a good landing spot.

@southie, what are your thoughts on the discourse here regarding McMiller?

Folks have their opinions. Every player is allowed to make the choices which they believe are in their best interest. There is no rule that prohibits a player from entering the transfer portal every offseason as long as they have eligibility remaining. I doubt McMiller is affected by what anonymous posters say about her on this sports forum; doubt it changes her decisions whatsoever.

Yeah but it would really be nice to confine the posts about transfers TO UConn only if the player has either declared their intent to enter the portal or has entered the portal.
Just my opinion.
