This didn’t age well!! LolThere is no one Hurley gets more pumped for to make a great play, and award with a chest bump, than Reibe. He ain't going anywhere.

Maybe stop making declarative statements in most of your posts?Lol, sure didn’t. Looks like he was going overboard trying to make him feel wanted. Was a hard one to see coming, but not surprising at same time.
Yeah, it's going to suck until something fundamental changes... (NIL limits, transfer limits, etc.)Ill be anxious like crazy until we have signed players. This NIL era is not good for my health.
Interesting I remembered Steinbach as the shooter in U 19s but I just went back and looked at the stats and he only took 3 3pt shots while Eric took 18 and made 6. In college though Steinbach took way more than Eric. Oh wellHe shot throughout his HS career and international tournaments. He shot a few in the early season.
UConn staff are sticklers about guys needing to prove it in practice (and possibly on the free throw line) before they can do it in the games, though.
Well I guess not in a Connecticut Huskies uni but maybe a Washington Huskies!I think against Arizona he drained 2 of 5 3's since they were leaving him completely open. So maybe there's a 3-point shot in there (similar to what Clingan has been able to do with the Blazers). Whether we ever see it regularly in a Husky uniform, who knows.
Ross looked great at the end of the yearThey will always be back ups if we want to compete for a national championship.
I'm sure that's a part of why Eric is leaving. But if you don't prove to the staff you'll make them, then the team needs someone else to be taking the shots.Interesting I remembered Steinbach as the shooter in U 19s but I just went back and looked at the stats and he only took 3 3pt shots while Eric took 18 and made 6. My view - Mullins will be back and have a great year. I hope I am right. No pizza talk and stay on point....lol
Need a starting 7'1 big body (German kid needs another year)
Need a karaban pf
Need a backup pg
Big question-- is mullins testing the nba
Steinbach is a more developed player. There were dozens of articles about how Reibe and Steinbach complimented each other, with Reibe stretching the floor snd Steinbach killing opposing front courts within the paint. Reibe needed to get stronger and work on his athleticism, all things that separated the two at the Power 4 level, despite Reibe coming in with the higher rank.Interesting I remembered Steinbach as the shooter in U 19s but I just went back and looked at the stats and he only took 3 3pt shots while Eric took 18 and made 6. I wonder how much Steinbach’s success made Reibe feel impatient.Steinbach is a more developed player. Stew is not a starting caliber playerWith Reibe leaving, makes you wonder if it pushes Hurley to try and keep Stew and let him play the 4 if he can get someone strong enough.
He is a 4 but do you mean as the starter? I hope we don’t lose Stew I don’t wanna have to replace both Cs and both PFs. Although maybe Landrew can be backup stretch 4?With Reibe leaving, makes you wonder if it pushes Hurley to try and keep Stew and let him play the 4 if he can get someone strong enough.

Current Roster:
G: (6) Demary, Ball, Mullins, Furphy, County, Paunović
F: (4) Jay. Ross, Stewart, Landrew, Jac. Ross
C: (0)
That is 5 open roster spots. Reibe's announcement amplified our need for the C position.
We need two quality C, at a minimum. We also need at least one PF and a PG. That leaves one open spot to play with.
We are showing interest in.
C 7' Sayon Keita, HS (Spain)
C 6'10" Najai Hines, Fr. (Seton Hall)
C 7'3" Drew McKeever, Jr. (RS) (St. Mary's)
PF 6'9" Donnie Freeman, So. (Syracuse)
PF 6'8" Paulius Murauskas, Jr. (St. Mary's)
PF/SF 6'6" Devin Royal, Jr. (Ohio St.)
CG 6'5" Alex Wilkins, Fr. (Furman)
SG 6'4" A'lahn Sumler, Sr. (Charleston Southern)
In this day and age, should we assume anyone is back until confirmed?Wouldn’t assume Mullins is back until it’s confirmed
I am not assuming anything. Just going by what the roster is at the time of the post.Wouldn’t assume Mullins is back until it’s confirmed
because if they leave they announce so until they do they are hereIn this day and age, should we assume anyone is back until confirmed?

Depends on which Hurley...On3 rivals 4/10 Article by Jack McCreven, (Uconn Report) Lists Massamba Diop 7'/1" Arizona State as being in play...has been linked to Uconn although there is no confirmation of contact with Hurley and staff
It looks like the transfer portal has a half dozen good power forwards available. We need one of those. What about Diop at center. He’s leaving ASU. Think there’s any juice in getting Bobby Hurley to convince Diop to hop on board? With Reibe leaving, makes you wonder if it pushes Hurley to try and keep Stew and let him play the 4 if he can get someone strong enough.
Of course he is. That’s been the Kansas and Kentucky model for years. It may work with a good X’s and O’s coach like Pitino, Danny and May but won’t work for Pope and recently Self. Now that Dusty May has validated this mercenary transfer concept, Pitino is going to go out all trying to continue to replicate .

My point is it’s better to sign a true PF than to try and make Stewart into one.It looks like the transfer portal has a half dozen good power forwards available. We need one of those. Interesting that the title game was held only a few days before Estrella committed to Michigan. Tampering perhaps?Michigan added another player with length in Estrella from Tennessee
He did start for us early this year with Mullins out. He had some good moments. Don’t know how long he had injury issues.Stew is not a starting caliber player
