2026 roster needs

a BrayStay would be so welcome now that we need 2x 4s and 2x 5s.

Let's do the math:

Gone:
1. AK
2. Malachi
3. Alex Millender
4. Tarris
5. Reibe
6. Koroma
7. Rrezon

Coming in
1. Colben Landrew
2. Junior County

We need 5 guys to get back to 15 if no more movement happens. That's sounding like 3-4 portal, 1-2 euro/intl

Ill be anxious like crazy until we have signed players. This NIL era is not good for my health.
Yeah, it's going to suck until something fundamental changes... (NIL limits, transfer limits, etc.)

He shot throughout his HS career and international tournaments. He shot a few in the early season.

UConn staff are sticklers about guys needing to prove it in practice (and possibly on the free throw line) before they can do it in the games, though.
Interesting I remembered Steinbach as the shooter in U 19s but I just went back and looked at the stats and he only took 3 3pt shots while Eric took 18 and made 6. In college though Steinbach took way more than Eric. Oh well

I think against Arizona he drained 2 of 5 3's since they were leaving him completely open. So maybe there's a 3-point shot in there (similar to what Clingan has been able to do with the Blazers). Whether we ever see it regularly in a Husky uniform, who knows.
Well I guess not in a Connecticut Huskies uni but maybe a Washington Huskies!

I'm sure that's a part of why Eric is leaving. But if you don't prove to the staff you'll make them, then the team needs someone else to be taking the shots.

With Reibe leaving, makes you wonder if it pushes Hurley to try and keep Stew and let him play the 4 if he can get someone strong enough.

Steinbach is a more developed player. There were dozens of articles about how Reibe and Steinbach complimented each other, with Reibe stretching the floor snd Steinbach killing opposing front courts within the paint. Reibe needed to get stronger and work on his athleticism, all things that separated the two at the Power 4 level, despite Reibe coming in with the higher rank.

I wonder how much Steinbach’s success made Reibe feel impatient.

He is a 4 but do you mean as the starter? I hope we don’t lose Stew I don’t wanna have to replace both Cs and both PFs. Although maybe Landrew can be backup stretch 4?

I didn’t see one second of Steinbach play this year - why? Because UW stinks, is a non factor on the west coast. They appear to have some $$.

It’s said when an agent calls you there are two topics, PT and $$. I believe coaches have said in an interview.

Duke seems to be the only school that can still recruit top HS kids and convince them to come off the bench. I doubt that holds. Houston tried it, and kid left.

F it, I'm into giving Stew a chance now. Great fulfilling run this year, let's see our remaining 4 year guys have their day. We're never going to see it again.
