Finally over. Diggins' shot at the buzzer rolled off the rim, almost had 3 OT. 108-106 final. I don't think either team subbed at all during either OT session, huge minutes for all the starters.
27 for Jackson, 22 for Plum, 21 each for Stevens and Hamby.
37 for Nneka, 18 for Diggins, 15 for Wheeler, 14 for Gabby.
I think I said it recently, Nneka is an ageless wonder. She isn't showing the slightest signs of slowing down or losing anything in her game. She's 35 and in her 14th season. She appears to have some good years left and is going to continue climbing the career records. Already Top 10 in scoring and rebounding. Not a stretch to see her getting in the Top 5 in both.I know the media likes to focus on some of these younger players but these vets like Dearica Hamby, Azura Stevens, Kelsey Plum, Nneka Ogwumike, Skylar Diggins, Erica Wheeler, and Gabby Williams, are the heart of the WNBA!
Well said! Nneka continues to play at a high level.I think I said it recently, Nneka is an ageless wonder. She isn't showing the slightest signs of slowing down or losing anything in her game. Because I feel like many players and coaches complain about this, I would find it helpful if someone could point to specific plays to illustrate where they're getting robbed by non-calls. Overall free throw attempts were pretty even between the Storm and the Sparks so it's not like there was one sided reffing across the board. Again, not saying she wasn't robbed, but I'd prefer to see a specific replay than talk in abstraction. One thing I forgot to add. In that Seattle/Los Angeles game last night, we all know Skylar likes to drive. She is a physical player. Not afraid of the contact. That rascal played 43 minutes and not one free throw attempt. Coach Quinn in her post game mentioned the same thing. It was strange for Skylar not to get to the line.
I agree 100% with this. Different example that most UConn fans will recall - games against UCF back in the day when Coach Abe was at the helm were ugly like rugby scrums. UConn plays tight defense but works super hard not to foul. UCF played overly physical and dirty in the opinion of many. You would expect in a game for them to get called for like 40 fouls to UConn's 10, but it never worked out that way.Because I feel like many players and coaches complain about this, I would find it helpful if someone could point to specific plays to illustrate where they're getting robbed by non-calls. I am horrible! I got the Indiana/Dallas game on the big screen...muted. I got the Golden State/Chicago game on my laptop, with sound. On my phone I got the New York/Connecticut game on. Then there is my iPad, where I got the Phoenix/Atlanta game going. Multitasking at its finest![]()

And, if I saw correctly, Diamond Miller didn't play -- coach's decision? Or was that an incorrect listing by the WNBA boxscore? In any case, I agree that no starters should've been in there....heck, Hammon took hers out before Minnesota did!Minnesota beats Vegas by 53. Phee goes out with a foot injury late in the 3rd while her team was up by 43 points. Leaving any of your starters out there with a 40+ point lead is a questionable decision by Reeve. This was such an avoidable injury. No reason to keep your stars in the game in a 44 game season with a brutal travel schedule and minimal days where you're not playing, traveling, or recovering for a game. Give your starters a rest when you can. I hope the injury isn't severe.
Yeah. Diamond did not play today. Not sure what is going on with that situation. And, if I saw correctly, Diamond Miller didn't play -- coach's decision? I hope it goes through. The Sun need a makeover.Sun Rumored To Be Sold, Moved to Boston for 2027 Season
Reported by ESPN (see link), this move would have to be approved by the WNBA Board of Governors (teams just can't move themselves). The potential buyer is a minority owner of the Celtics and he has agreed to spend an additional $100 million for a practice facility.

A group led by Celtics minority owner Steve Pagliuca has a deal in place to buy the WNBA's Connecticut Sun for a record $325 million and plans to move the team to Boston, a source confirmed to ESPN.www.espn.com
If I were the Vegas organization, with everyone basically being a free agent this off-season I would clean house. I would try to keep both Wilson and Young, and then build a brand new team around them. How did Vegas get this bad this fast? It's stunning. Is Gray pretty much done? Is it age, or did she never really recover from that foot injury that took her out at the end of their second Championship run? She's certainly never been the same since, and it's almost 2 years now. One good game notwithstanding, I feel justified in saying Bell is simply not a WNBA starter caliber player. Of course neither was Stokes, and that went on for quite a while.
Posted this prior to my coastal getaway: I'd very much look into a new front office and would have some serious talks with Coach Hammon about how she'd run a different kind of team. She coached a team with a core at their individual and/or collective peak: What about a new, crew? Is she right for that?If I were the Vegas organization, with everyone basically being a free agent this off-season I would clean house. I will say, I've been so, so impressed with Natalie Nakase that even if Becky is still a good coach, losing her and Ty in the same season is a lot. Coach Nat relies on her assistant coaches a ton for scouting and player development and multiple players have spoken about how much they've helped the team improve, so by extension, one can only assume Becky is also deep in a coaching staff rebuild.Need to start looking at hammon. She may not be the coach that people think she it.
