Happy that Bria's back with the Sun, I hope she finds a way to make the team.
I remember! Those two DID play well off each other. Once they got adjusted to each other's game, things took off! I am excited to see how it all plays out for the Lynx this season. We got great guard play in Williams, McBride, Hiedeman. Our Post and Wings are solid in Phee, Smith, and now Shep back with us. How Coach Reeve blends the bench rotation is going to be huge. I love our chances this season and it is an odd season too! 2025 could be title #5 for the Lynx!In 24 minutes, Shep was a +11 and nearly had a triple double with 10 points, 8 rebounds and -- this was a ! -- 9 assists, from a forward.
Before she got injured and then went overseas, she and Collier played well off each other. Add Smith and that's a pretty formidable bunch of forwards. Dorka, get back soon!
Man! My heart goes out to Ashley. Watching that young lady put in the work over the years, especially during the summer months, and not see her getting any legit minutes, a legit contract, or land on a team long term, just hurts. Because we all know that there are some players who SHOULD be in the W and some players we are like "You made the roster, but X player didn't?" Just makes you side eye a lot. But wishing players like Ashley all the best. Keep your head up.
I got a feeling we are keeping Berger. The way Grace has bonded with the team and coaching staff, I think she is safe. Although I did think that my boy Mike Neighbors was going to stay coaching in his home state of Arkansas. Just to fix things a little. Only to see him resign...things could change with Grace and MinnesotaHimmmmmm. ... Bye, bye Berger?
I think Badiane looked better than Pili so, perhaps she is gone?
Reese seems two favor vets on her roster over newcomers
It is going to be interesting to see what develops this week in terms of roster spots. I would hate to be a WNBA GM right now. Holy smokes!Himmmmmm. ... Bye, bye Berger?

Clarification?
Berger is also a Reeve-type player in that she has great fundamentals. Her bad decisions are few and far between. She can also play 1-3. And with her and Courtney Williams on the team, they have two players with good mid-range games, who are both willing passers if anyone’s helping from under the basket.I got a feeling we are keeping Berger. But seeing how she interacts with the coaching staff during these preseason games, I think she has won over Coach Reeve.
Degrees of mediocrity.... I will say the Mercury non-roster players made the Golden State non roster players particularly the French player Toure look really good.Golden state looks better than the wings to me.
This is exactly my sentiment. Yamamoto is a big game player and has carried the Japanese national team for a few years now. But she is tiny. I have a soft spot in my heart for Mighty Mites and she is definitely one. I'd also say that her skill set overlaps almost entirely with Hannah Hidalgo's, and if Mai can't make it in the W, I don't see how Hannah can either.I feel bad about Mai Yamamoto getting cut. Wings players clearly liked her. And a day after the exhibition game against Tokyo is tough. But it was a cut I expected. I think she is like 5’4”. Hopefully Dallas was honest with her through the entire process.
I was curious to see Amoore tbh. I am not sure how tall she is. But I thought the wnba would be a challenge. This is exactly my sentiment. FYI - Williams looks to be focused on WNBA for the season.
The only reason I used the "love" reaction is for the use of the French as it keeps my neglible bilingual skills sharpDommage.

Correct. The New York Liberty exercised their option with Nyara Sabally.
Liatu King was waived by the Los Angeles Sparks.
I think King was the short-ish post player that ND picked up from Pittsburgh in the transfer portal and was a starter for them last season?
