2025 WNBA Draft

Sellers was projectd #6 & Feagin #10 by Voepel/ESPN. Still not taken.

Lotsa foreign players, which I kinda think are the moonshot picks -- they know the available college players aren't good enough to make the squad, so why not take a flyer on a foreigner who might not come, at least not this year.

Would you believe it?!? Absolutely sensational result for the two players, especially considering their final year stat lines, availability in Aubrey's case.

Just shows to go you, stats, metrics, and all the "stuff" on the printed page / display screen, are just tools in the kit, to be leveraged against the rest - intangibles, eye test, desire, etc.

Course it also helps to have the winningest coach in the history of the sport, and the overall #1 draft pick (very publicly in her case) advocating for you... ;)

Happy that Chen & Aubrey could get drafted.

Though it should be noted that it's really tough for anyone outside the top 15-18 to make a squad. It'll be a different story next year after some much-needed expansion, but until then ....

Does anyone know why the WNBA has an age limit for American players but not international ones? Malonga and Jocyte are both 19, yet Americans have to wait until they are 22?

Note that an American player who is scheduled to graduate from college can be younger than 22 and still eligible for the draft.
