Yes, but Ginger was always able to get Gilligan to do anything. But everyone liked Maryann better. Just ask the professor.
I saw this morning that in addition to being invited to attend the WNBA draft, Shyanne Sellers became engaged yesterday to her partner and former Maryland teammate, Faith Masonius, who was First Team All-Big East this year at Seton Hall. Quite a momentous day for Shyanne. Congratulations to them both!

I think the article within this article by Megdal is very interesting. Bueckers has the leverage in this thing if she chooses to use it. I've said all along that if I were advising her I wouldn't want her locked in to a 4 year deal with that Dallas operation. That's a big chunk of her career to be stuck there. I hope she steers herself where she wants to play and doesn't settle.A few articles about the smoke still swirling around regarding Dallas' #1 pick -

Storm are in a Strong Position as WNBA Draft Approaches

No, I am totally with you 100%.Am I the only one who hopes Paige pulls an Eli Manning and avoids going to Dallas.
I agree but what I don’t understand is how many have her going to Washington? They already have a an Iriafen clone whose name is Edwards! They are essentially the same player. I think Aaliyah is going to have a breakout year and I question whether that pick would be better served by addressing other needs. The challenge with Iriafan is that her jump shot was inconsistent during the tournament, when most eye balls are on her. She can make those 15-footers, but unfortunately, it was a bad time to keep bricking them.
I think she'll be a solid pro.
If I worked (or owned) the Lynx or Sun, I would offer Dallas almost anything, draft pick wise, to get the rights to Paige.Am I the only one who hopes Paige pulls an Eli Manning and avoids going to Dallas.
I know you said draft pick-wise, but here's another thought experiment: if you were the GM of the Lynx, would you trade Pheesa to the Wings for the 1st overall draft pick (i.e., Paige)? I wouldn't. How about your 11th pick and KMac? Or your 11th pick and KMac and Courtney Williams? How much is Paige worth in known quantities of current players? (I have no idea what the answer is; you just got me thinking.)If I worked (or owned) the Lynx or Sun, I would offer Dallas almost anything, draft pick wise, to get the rights to Paige.
But that's just me assuming that is where Paige would prefer to play.
I intentionally didn't throw any names into my "proposal" but if I was to, the only untouchable would be Pheesa.I know you said draft pick-wise, but here's another thought experiment: if you were the GM of the Lynx, would you trade Pheesa to the Wings for the 1st overall draft pick (i.e., Paige)? Adding Azzi Fudd too ....I don't know what's going to happen in the short term, but my fantasy is that when each becomes a free agent, both Paige and Caitlin will sign on with Minnesota.
Not really. He would usually recoil in fear and hit his head on something and knock himself out, if I recall correctly.Yes, but Ginger was always able to get Gilligan to do anything.
Unless this is the biggest head fake ever, #5 is headed to TX -I think the only way Dallas trades Paige, is for a top 5 player. They know her worth, and won’t accept anything less. Which is a bummer because I don’t want to watch any Dallas games
There are a handful of veteran players on long term contracts, and rookies for this year and the two prior years will continue to be bound by their rookie contracts beyond this season. However, the vast majority of veterans are under 1 year contracts that will expire at the end of this season, making them eligible under the new WNBA CBA that’s still to be negotiated.I don't 100% understand this collective bargaining agreement and the existing players' contractual obligations. That said, it is my understanding that this is the final year of contractual obligation for all of the veteran players. The players who were rookies in 2023 and forward will still be under agreement to remain with their teams, but elsewise every player is a free agent at the end of this season. With that, won't it basically be a complete re-shuffle of the veteran player's starting next season?
Not sure how their trade of Samuelson for a 2026 pick justifies a move up a spot. How much do they need to give up and who would they pick? Considering they just gave up their first rounder for next year, that's a lot to give up.I think it’s very important for the mystics to move up to 2. I won’t understand the trade they made earlier if they don’t do that.
