“Will be interesting”….agree….they certainly need someone who can make shots from the perimeter….will see how the addition works out:cool:
south carolina had everything this year
except a go to player who could create their
own shot
safe to say they do now
potential game changer

Well, mid-majors, Duke, Stanford, UConn, and Notre Dame? Feels like we're all still chugging along with top recruiting classes lately, and even Mulkey got in on it this season.
Also: Creighton and South Dakota State and the whole of the
Big East, the IVY League. There is more to College Basketball
than the SEC, Big 10, ACC, and Big 12. I like to "smell all the roses!"

I'll be very interested to see how Dawn handles it from a personnel management perspective. She's been so adept at getting everyone on her teams to buy into the team-first concept, but if you're a player of Tessa Johnson's or Milaysia Fulwiley's caliber, how would you feel about going into your junior year knowing that Ta'niya and Raven are likely still starting ahead of you? The answer could easily be that they're okay with it because that's what they signed up for, in which case, I'll be even more impressed than I already am by the culture Dawn has built at SC.

With respect, the concept of no one playing big minutes at SCar is fairly new and I'm not sure it was intentional so much as how player development and rosters ended up working out.

Kneepkens is from up in the iron range out of Duluth and 2 years younger than Paige, who was from Hopkins in the Minneapolis suburbs. I doubt that they know each other. As far as pg goes, I’m going to suggest that KK will not only assume that role full time, but she will dramatically improve her shooting so that opponents can not play off her, and she will excel as a distributor, defender and penetrator.
I like your optimism about KK, but to make up for the loss of Paige, the UConn PG for next year will have to be a larger, stronger, version of Kaitlyn who had a high BB IQ and was a decent outside shooter. Big shoes to fill here, especially if Geno wishes to keep Azzi at the 2.

By Boneyard, are you referring to the entire board, including both the UConn and General boards?
This is the Transfer Portal on the General Board, which is intended for and encompasses fans of many colleges.
As such, yes, there are a number of folks who know of and expressed interest in Kneepkens, including this Irish fan who watched she and her Ute teammates beat the Irish in the Cayman Islands.

She is, indeed, from northern Minnesota and maybe, just maybe, Paige might've known her via some local/regional AAU gigs. But she's very much an Iron-Range citizen.

Also agree with @oldude , that she'd be a great addition to the Huskies next year...as she would to any team that could use another sharpshooter.
If she is from the Iron Range of Minnesota then Storrs will feel like Miami to her in January.

Missouri women’s basketball loses key player as guard Ashton Judd enters transfer portal

Story by Calum McAndrew, Columbia Daily Tribune

She is a career 37.6% shooter from 3-point range and was the second-leading scorer on the squad in each of the past two seasons.

She’s the fifth player to enter the transfer portal out of Mizzou in this window, but the first starter.”

Not thrilled with new coach Kellie Harper, late of Tennessee?

Campbell appears to be a young coach who is going to live and die by the transfer portal. That’s a little like walking a tightrope without a net.
I don’t yhink do. In his second year, he hasn’t had much to sell to high schoolers to now

I could never see a scenario where Tessa Johnson would leave SC. However, she has been my favorite player not in a UConn uniform, and her game and size fit UConn like a glove if she ever decided to enter the portal.

Not suggesting poaching, but in this new age of the portal, Tessa owns the top spot on my wish list.

It's bewildering to me seeing the number of first-year freshmen leaving top tier programs like USC, UCLA & ND. I get coach/player conflicts, but it seems the women's game has entered into a one-and-done mentality if things don't go accordingly to plan.

Is it NIL, or the demand to be an immediate contributor?

How do we know that Jana won’t develop into a decent offensive player? This was only her 1st year of playing against competition in the US. I thought she showed some skills that could be developed further.
I think she will certainly improve on the offensive end......she simply needs to stop rushing the ball transfer and keep the ball held high because she's been too turnover prone.....

Yep. The Kitt that learned probably best to redshirt out the freshman year.
Is she good enough to play with Chloe at SC? With Sakima in the portal, I believe SC has three spots open.

I’m not familiar with her game to say.

Dawn’s former player at Temple and her former Director of Operations, Cynthia Jordan left SC three yrs or so ago and was hired at UF to start her career as a coach. Dawn is in need of an AC with Winston Gandy leaving. Is it possible Dawn brings back Jordan to her staff and Kitts follows?

I'm guessing with her Do Not Contact that she will be joining her sister and platooning with her.
For some reason, I would have enjoyed seeing Chloe in a UConn uniform...oh well. (I'm referring to her pre SoCar.)

Hard not to like Kitts. Works hard and leaves it all on the court. She's kind of how I imagine Ashlynn Shade (whom I adore) would be if she were a few inches taller.
