‘Haha… always verify information given by AI Overview. I don’t know how many times I have seen wrong information given by Google Gemini.
They weren't the only article that had that information when I Googled earlier today. If it is wrong I stand corrected about the shooting. In reality it has nothing to do with my argument.

I always had an small feeling K9 would transfer. Her being from NY could be a reason. I’m so glad I live close to my college. Moral support from family is important.

So you're relying on Gemini AI to tell us we're wrong? The typical practice is to vet any AI generated information as it's not perfect. It looks like Gemini pulled it from this article.

Review this ESPN article for clarification.

For clarification, Gemini AI is different from a Google search. Any search in Google starts with an AI summary to get you hooked on their technology instead of others.

Gemini AI provides a quick summary based on an internet search, but it can pull information and get things mixed up. Your actual search results will always be below the AI summary.

Not a proper fit. Dawn has been getting a lot of criticism, for reigning in Lay, the past few weeks.
And with the amount of chucks, and ball hogging that ND girl does, it doesn’t fit Dawn’s offense.
Miles is more our style and have more connections to Latson if we're going conscienceless scorers (ha).

Is it worth it? Like mentioned previously in this thread, some very high profile men's coaches walked away from the game, when they had plenty of years left they could've kept coaching. They were getting paid a lot more than $ million a year. Obviously for some the answer is "no" it's not worth it, regardless of the money.
Coaching basketball for a million? Yeah I'd say so.

No, I wasn't telling any of you that you were wrong. I simply posted the clipping to show you were I got the information from. Beating a dead horse with a stick proves little! Especially since I had already acknowledged the possible error. Your experience with AI is quite different than mine, but even the best of sources can get things wrong! As I stated previous, when I researched the subject using GOOGLE (not Gemini AI) there were several articles stating the same information. After a couple BYers pointed out that I was mixing up the shooting, I went back and searched again. What I clipped & posted was still there as was an article from CT Insider also claiming the same information. The others had been removed. However, as I mentioned previously, in reality the shooting aspect had nothing to due with when Howell and Heckel signed their letters of intent to play for USC. Both signed after JuJu was already playing for the Trojans as a freshman. It doesn't take a mental giant to figure out why they enrolled to play for USC.

Yes my experience with AI is different which is why I tried to clarify but you're missing the point. Google has included Gemini AI with their search engine by default.

You don't have to use it intentionally. It will generate a summary even when you do a Google search. It's a newer feature that some don't realize is in place.

You must not follow pro sports. Seems like pro players' issues are all over the news such as holding out from camps (rookies especially hold out until their initial contract is to their liking), wanting to renegotiate existing contracts, demanding to be traded or they'll sit out, etc.
Pro athletes are under contract so the things you are citing do happen but only in contract years or disputes. College is truly the wild west right now and as long as the top coaches play along it will never change. I am a traditionalist and think a player should have to sit out a year if they transfer but would support them not losing a year of eligibility if they do.

Isn't it funny though that the teams in FF have a lot of homegrown talent? The fact is WCBB has a lot of coaches who really aren't that good but get treated like they are Coach K.

Exhibit A: Vic coaching circles around Mark Campbell's TCU mercenaries in the Elite Eight.

It is probably in an entry on these 39 pages somewhere, but when does the portal close so people can no longer get in and we can all know who is staying put where they are. I assume once in the portal, they have much longer to decide where they are going.

The portal closes on April 22nd. However, I believe grad transfers can still enter after that date.

Can we change the subject and or take this off this thread? At this point I'm really only interested in whether anyone else is entering the transfer portal, not what happened to whom years ago. Thanks!
Totally agree. I spent most of my career, 40+ years dealing with computers in one way or another. I have called on my software testing background to help with problems BYers had with the Fox Sports app but I certainly don't come here to " learn" about AI. I too come here to see posts on who has entered the portal and maybe some insight into why they entered, if it is made public, and if an entrant states their schools of interest, again if made public.
But I really, dislike having page after page of fans discussing where they think the players should go. Threads could be posted to discuss individual players or teams...which can easily be "ignored."

We all remember when Barnes was the next big thing in coaching during the 2021 season after beating UConn in the national semifinals and coming within 1pt of the championship vs Stanford. Since that time, the results at AZ have been more lackluster.

After an inexplicable loss to Northern AZ in the WBIT, the AD was unwilling to either renegotiate Barnes’ contract with one year left or fire her and pay a large buyout to her. Essentially, Barnes would be twisting in the wind at AZ if she stayed for the 2025-26 season.

She’s lucky SMU came calling. Supposedly, there’s some big money boosters looking to turn SMU WBB into the next big thing……..

A rather large bunch of ND players enter the portal.
ND is left with only 3 or 4 scholarship players.
People question if this has anything to do with Ms. Hidalgo's
posture regarding other people's marital choices.

Very belatedly, she publishes her Ode to the Splendors of Notre Dame. Created a Monster | By Hannah Hidalgo

Buried therein is a sort of quasi-apology and a half-hearted denial of personal wrongdoing. Homophobic? Moi? Oh no no no.

Weak sauce.

For background on who did what to whom…

Great analysis.

The 1.2 million dollar fashionista lost to NAU not once but twice. As we all recall during the regular season in November the Jacks laid 92 on a kitty team that looked remarkably un interested in playing basketball.

It's also worth remembering that WAC champion and 30 win Molly Miller took the Grand Canyon Lopes down to McKale and showed much more grit and character than the kitties in a 3-point win and the dirty t.

So coach Molly Miller joins the Big 12 and the fashionista coach departs

You are also on point in saying how lucky the 1.2 million dollar coach was to get a lifeline from Texas. I'm going to be very very interested to see if the Mustangs were gullible enough to give the fashionista over a million per year. We all know the financial insanity and impudence of higher ed in general and some athletic departments in particular but if she scores a 5-year deal at a million per her agent should make the negotiating Hall of Fame and be lauded as the greatest agent ever.

Wondering if Barnes fliped the double bird as she's waltzing out of the dirty t.
