It's not if Shams is reporting.

This is pretty wild. When ur as good as Olivia Miles only a couple teams make sense. But wow, give up being drafted for another year of college. I mean South Carolina actually makes some sense. Get to play under dawn Staley for a year in the sec. Idk it's interesting.

That's a scary thought. Dawn has had plenty of good guards, but I don't think she's ever had a play maker like Miles.

OMG… this was on no one’s bingo card

I could see Miles to LSU, they were desperately missing good PG play this year. If Raven goes pro (unlikely) then SC is on the table. UCONN could also be an option since she’s from Jersey. I also feel like NC State could be a random curveball in the mix.

Most other top programs are set:
UCLA-Rice
USC-Heckel
Texas-Harmon/Booker
South Carolina-Raven
Oklahoma-Chavez
Tennessee-Cooper
Duke-Mair

honestly, usc would be a good spot for either miles or Latson. Juju will be gone and one of those two could be the star for a year.

While I like Taina Mair a lot and believe that she was more than solid for Duke this year, I wouldn't call Duke "set at PG" with Olivia Miles in the picture. Gotta kick the tires on Miles here.

When discussing destinations for the likes of Latson or Miles or these top tier transfers, don’t consider the fit, consider the $$$.

I have no idea what USCs NIL is, but I bet they ain’t keeping JuJu even in a redshirt year for free. Adding a Miles or Latson is a major expense. Maybe they can afford it, I have no idea. But IMO these ladies aren’t looking around for where can they best fit into a roster or scheme, they are seeing who can offer what money wise. And I can’t blame them.

Selfishly, Latson to State makes all the sense in the world, slide right into the Aziaha James role. But that is a pipe dream. I’ve heard $EC schools have been reaching out to Zoe before the season was over with offers. The money is becoming more and more of a factor and I suspect we will see more and more players leaving and following that money trail that surprise a lot of folks. I pray State can keep Zoe and Zam, the bad thing is State needs to shop the portal for 2 starters as it is but may have to spend the majority of their NIL just to retain players and not be able to compete with $$ being thrown around for others.

I think we are about to find out who has what when it comes to WBB funding. Ole Miss and TCU seem to be invested in nicely by either fans or high percentages of rev share.

Has anybody noticed who all Ole Miss added today?

Kaitlin Peterson, Latasha Lattimore, and Jayla Murray is a huge transfer haul.
It is but how will it all mesh together? And will Lattimore be willing to take on the physicality of the SEC? That will be something to watch next season.

I'd delay being drafted by the W for another year of college with a much higher salary. That with the unknowns around the new CBA, the fact that Miles has already earned a bachelor's and will earn a Master's any day from Notre Dame, all the players ND is losing to graduation/eligibility make this a great move in my eyes. I was surprised by the. move but it's not shocking when I really think about it. Can't wait to see where Miles lands.

Word on street is a NIL deal worth over 700K is lined up for her

The timing of the portal entry announcement seems very interesting as it happened shortly after TCU was eliminated from the tournament.

It's a great point. I mean 700k is insane, truly life altering money. Her w salary would be like a tenth of that this summer. To be able to be paid that much and potentially earn another degree is pretty great. In post game interviews you could tell how much she loved Soni and Maddy so I can imagine it's easier to leave when they are leaving as well. TCU with miles, scherr, Conner, maybe pick up a big from the portal.. I can see it a little. Still not my favorite pick for her but makes sense.

Miles is one of the biggest portal names I can recall but given she's already earned her degrees it makes more sense. Plus she will make more NIL money than WNBA salary, Citron and Westbeld are moving on, plus something was clearly wrong at ND in the later part of the season.

There isn't a program out there that wouldn't take her for a year, no matter if there is already a talented PG/SG combo on the team. TCU would be a strange destination for sure, but I could see LSU or USC for certain.

Wait! Is she going to stop being "Olivia Miles" in the WNBA? Because her literal name, image, and likeness will not change if she moves on to the WNBA. Caitlin Clark has made more NIL money than her current WNBA salary for three seasons (including her rookie year with the Indiana Fever), but it didn't stop her from moving on to the WNBA at first opportunity.

What you're all saying without saying it is that Olivia Miles is not worth the #2 pick in a typical WNBA draft and isn't going to play well enough in her first season or two to retain current/earn more endorsements. This isn't a Clark/Angel Reese/Aliyah Boston situation. She's not going to be able to convince endorsers to stay with her because of the flaws in her game that will be magnified on the next level. That's why staying in college another year would benefit her.

I thought TCU was a strange destination for Hailey Van Lith at the time, but I think their success in the tournament this year could potentially translate to drawing in more recruits. And if they have 700k in NIL offers for Miles apparently, then maybe it’s not that strange of a destination. I know Miles going to UConn would be a big betrayal to Notre Dame, but I also think it’d be an easy transition with Paige leaving. I’m not sure we need her but a Miles-Strong-Fudd duo would be great

I'm not sure she can get too much better regardless of which college coach she plays for next season; most likely her decision is NIL driven.

Not a good fit and I don't see Geno doing that. Miles to TCU to replace Van Lith seems logical
