Now that the draft is approaching and we have a better idea of who is and isn't going to the NBA, I figured a thread for mock drafts and big boards was appropriate.

ESPN 4/8 mock:
McNeeley - #13 to Dallas
Karaban - #34 to Charlotte

The Athletic (Sam Vecenie) 3/28 mock:
McNeeley - #11 to Portland
Karaban - #31 to Minnesota

CBS 4/10 mocks:
Kyle Boone:
McNeeley - #13 to Dallas
Kyle Finkelstein:
McNeeley - #16 to San Antonio
Gary Parrish:
McNeeley - #12 to Houston
Karaban - #30 to LAC

Bleacher Report, 4/8 mock:
McNeeley - #18 to Brooklyn
Karaban - #48 to Cleveland

Yahoo, 4/11 mock:
McNeeley - #16 to Orlando

On3 4/11 mock:
McNeeley - #15 to San Antonio
Karaban - #25 to Indiana, #31 to Minnesota (Not sure how he'll hold up playing for two teams, he might hit the rookie wall twice)

No Ceilings 4/8 big board:
McNeeley - #18
Karaban - #36

There is going to be a lot of uncertainty from the late first through the entire second. For every borderline first round pick who decides to go get some NIL money for another year, another borderline first round guy has a shot to move up teams' boards. It's still early, and obviously these mock drafts will mean more after the NBA Draft Combine in May, and after players make their final decisions about staying or going.

Really hoping Alex ends up with the Celtics. He makes a ton of sense for them given they’re likely trading Hauser this summer for tax reasons.

McNeeley… I just want to see him go in the lottery. Good for our cred with future recruits.

Nbadraft has McNeeley 27th to Oklahoma City and Alex 46th to Sacramento. I be surprised he has fallen that far but I’m expecting anywhere from 15 to 25 so just outside the lottery.

The below one has McNeeley 19th to the Jazz and Alex 40th to the Trailblazers(would be cool to see him with Clingan)

The NBA still values upside. Alex is a veteran player with great Basketball IQ, good length but relatively slow and unathlectic compared to NBA players. Hard to imagine the NBA sees a lot of upside for him…so all of these mocks seem very optimistic.
For the most important stretch of the season his long range shooting was errant.
I really hopes he comes back, very unclear that he would get a guaranteed two year contract if he stays in for the draft.

ESPN’s latest big board has McNeeley at #15 and Karaban at #37.

15. Liam McNeeley, SG/SF, UConn

Height: 6-7 | Age: 19.5 | TS%: 53.6% | PR: 14

McNeeley enters the predraft process needing to solidify his perimeter shooting in workouts, making just 31.7% of his 3-pointers at UConn during an overall solid season. His versatility, passing and positional size are all attractive qualities to slot into an eventual role.

NBA teams appreciate McNeeley's feel and toughness, but without exceptional physical tools for a wing, making shots at a high level (something he often did in high school) is imperative to him carving out a solid role at the next level. This is something he'll have an opportunity to address as he looks to firm up his candidacy in the late lottery, with some teams viewing him as more of a late-first-round option. -- Woo

Guaranteed contract range for AK, that's what Hurley said was there for him last year. If it's still there after the slump he went through that's hard to pass up, imo.

So Liam can go anywhere from 12th to 20th and AK anywhere from 30th to 48th.

This is why trying to make sense over these seemingly "expert" lists is crazy. How about we find out when we find out?

I spend a little of my free time on the main Spurs fan spot and they love them some Castle. They are definitely hoping for a big 3 type future with him, Fox and Wemby. I myself actually thought Castle over performed and the second half he was bullying everyone he faced.

He's going to love Milwaukee

Well some of the playoff games have been great and some have been abominations. This Celtics Knicks game is an abomination. T'Wolves didn't even show up last night.

Spurs with pick 2 with Harper being consensus 2, but redundant to Steph. Hmmmmm.
It’s interesting to consider if Ace Bailey fits the Spurs better. They could draft Harper and have an unreal backcourt, trade down to #3 or #4 to get Ace or Tre Johnson plus assets…or build a package for Giannis. Nice problem to have!

Have to think the Spurs are going to be in the trade market in some form. Let’s just hope it doesn’t impact Steph.

They would fit fine together without Fox in a few years. It's really just a bit of a logjam at guard with Fox and if they resign Paul. I could see the Spurs making a trade (either the pick to move down, or a bigger trade for a star to put next to Wemby next year).

On the plus side Castle is big enough to play 1-3 even if they draft Harper and don't make a trade.

I wouldnt trade for Giannis or any old dude. Spurs should stay young. Harper may be redundant with Castle but they said the same thing about Tatum and Brown.
