He steals 2nd so he does score.
I had the "privilege" of watching IKF play through July with the Pirates. He likely gets thrown out at second.

The due factor would’ve been in his favor then so yes he most likely steals 2nd.

13th inning
Shocked Freddie didn't end it.
Just undernearth on that swing,Jays really need to score here great game so much better without the stupid ghost runner rule in regular season,

This guy is supposed to be one of the best bunters in baseball? He looked like a little kid bunting for the first time.

I always hate that strategy bunt him over to 3rd not 2nd and don’t force the bunt with 2 strikes. Now no Kirk in lineup this has to be it here for the Jays it really does.

And you still get people saying baseball is as boring as watching paint dry.

Sandy Koufax retired at 30, his accomplishments are silly...

The astounding thing with Koufax is he did almost all of that in just six seasons. With arthritis in the last two.

First six seasons: 6.7 WAR, 36-40 record, 4.10 ERA, 1.428 WHIP, 683 K, 405 BB (1.69 K/BB)

Final six seasons: 46.4 WAR, 128-47 record, 2.19 ERA, .970 WHIP, 1713 K, 412 BB (4.16 K/BB)

I don't know how the Jays are still in this game, but they are, and may now actually have the advantage with Lauer.

Yep, I should've pointed that out.

Insane dominance.

Hopefully the Blue Jays learned this game that walking Ohtani whenever possible will be their best chance to take down the Dodgers.

Honestly Ohtani should not have another at bat in this world series unless absolutely necessary.

Bad for baseball fans but definitely the way to go strategy wise.

bottom 17... Dodgers can't end it here with Roberts saying a position player is pitching the 18th.

I figured Freddie would end it.

Man, John Schneider blew this game taking out Bichette and then taking out Barger and Kirk with Springer already down.

Ohtani=best ever

Will Klein will never pay for another drink or steak in LA. Hell build him a statue. He was facing an awful lineup but that was still badarse.

Schneider made some decisions that certainty affected the outcome since the game went so long and they were without some of their best hitters.

I won’t crucify him. He went for the jugular but it didn’t work out. But I’m sure he’s second guessing the decision to send Davis Schneider home with Vlad on deck. But that took two good throws and relay to get Davis at home.

Great game and we!’ll see how the bullpens recover. Hope that Springer is okay but I have my doubts.

Ohtani got on base nine times last night. WTF? Four extra base hits and five walks.

Another "first time in MLB history" night for him.

I forget the inning- 13th?- but that swing at ball 4 with the bases loaded by the Blue Jays hurt- guy hit a weak grounder & got thrown out at first. Had they scored a run, and maybe they’d get another run or two as it was still two outs, that would have gotten the win.

And what a crazy strike zone from the ump- but he called it both ways

He's hitting cyborg status. How do the Jays recoup on the road after that one? Tonight is basically do or die for them as far as I see it. LAD has something going on right now that feels like the 90's Yanks.

Freeman has one of the most distinct mugs in MLB history - like a cross between Ben Affleck & Jim Carey from the Mask with a perfect butt chin. He looks like he was made to play the sport.

Ohtani can do even more for his cyborg/AI status tonight. LA could use a nice start by him to spare their bullpen.

The Sox came back from a similar 18 inning loss in LA in 2018. The difference was they were up 2-1 after that loss and they went on to win in 5 games. The Jays really need to win tonight to even the series.

Eh they would have walked him. Bichette was out already and IKF was up after Vlad.

Ohtani's last two home games he's reached base 13 out of 13 plate appearances with 5 home runs, 2 doubles, 6 walks (4 intentional walks in a row) and 6 shutout innings with 10 strikeouts. Oh yeah and he's pitching today.
