That was quite the display of pitching. It goes to show how important it is to grind in the playoffs. Ohtani vs Mil, Yesavage in gm 1, and Yoshi last night. Yesavage somehow didn't get knocked out in the 1st or 3rd, despite having no command and a flat and reduced fastball. Him keeping that game close was actually huge momentum that the Jays harnessed, paired with their incredible two strike hitting.
Yamamoto had a rough first couple innings, but again showed incredible composure. Every inning that went by it was obvious that he was getting stronger. Just what the doctor ordered for LA.
I am finding this series so far to be interesting with some cool story lines, great performances, and a knifes edge vibe.
Alex Vesia being unavailable will keep the pressure on the SP to go deep, but hopefully his wife and child make it though ok.
