A happy recap. QU will whine all week. Jeanno and I had to listen to them hate on us in person last year, so this is as good as it gets.

Another sign this year is a little different. We never beat QU and if there is a team that is giving up a goal with a second or under left, it's usually us.
Great win. Especially since quite frankly we didn't play that great. Tyler was a rock. He and Tattle the players of the game.
 
Bob Joyce did not do the radio broadcast of the game since he is doing the broadcast of a road game by UConn women's basketball tomorrow. Adam Giardino did the play by play on the radio hockey broadcast today. Nothing wrong with Joyce doing a game broadcast, but I just love listening to Giardino do the play by play on the radio. I loved listening to Giardino when he was doing games on WHUS radio when he was a UConn student.
 
Ryan Tattle’s game has improved 1000% since his first season. I never thought he would become as good as he is now.

First win over Quinnipiac since October 2014

The Atlantic Hockey refs were in over their heads for this game. Bad calls on both sides. A game between Quinnipiac and UConn deserves a much better crew of officials

Had a blast tonight. The boys were buzzin’ all night and it was fun to see the hockey team for the first time in a few years.

Tattle was dynamic all game and I loved the physicality Larkin brought. I’m a big fan of Viking too, he was so clutch on the 5-on-3 kill.

It is so fitting that Hudson and Joey M. got assists on the game winner…it’s spectacular on the replay in slo-mo.
We’ve lost in the last second, this feels a lot better! Now get some food and some rest, tomorrow is a big day! I’m sure QU will be complaining about the call. Honestly, I thought the refs were not up to the occasion. Maybe I shouldn’t complain about some calls by HE refs. Nah, just kidding.

Great event. Great venue. Great outcome. Other than the parking situation, we had an awesome time at the game today. Tyler was outstanding. Go Huskies!

10 years ago wasn‘t the modern era? Wow, I feel really old. They (QU) were good, we were in our first year of the HEA. It was the Cav Era. It counted. Does that mean that our inaugural HEA win over BC later in the season wasn’t in the modern era?

These AHA refs were brutally bad, but on both sides. So at least they were fair in that regard. Just in way over their heads for this speed and talent of play. What a game

SHU is up 6-2 the second. Still a ton of empty seats. now 7-2 while I was typing. No reason for UConn or QU fans to hang around, I know.
