UCLA needs a lot from the portal. They could get it. If so, They may struggle early and gel late. Still, who knows?

U$C? Loaded with talent and I mean loaded.

Michigan? Who has given UConn and SCar trouble.

TCU or the ACC leader?

I don’t get this persistent “Let’s see what UCLA does!” Only a slight exaggeration to say you could give them any 5 remaining in the portal they want and they wouldn’t be a title contender next year.

They loaded up, fired every bullet for 2026, and it paid off. That could permanently alter the trajectory and stature of the program, but they won’t be a threat in 2027.

Most likely a big 3 with SC, UConn and USC. Maybe Gottlieb isn't a great coach, but she's a decent coach who'll have an indecent amount of talent.

Next year feels a lot more open to me than this season. SC is ridiculously stacked but I don’t see a standout go to player. USC has too many go to players. UCONN is UCONN but has question marks. I could see teams like Duke and Michigan making noise since their rosters are well constructed and they’ll have good chemistry with a lot of returnees.

Ummm, no, we are not as good as SC. Unless we add a 2/3 defensive stopper. We will come up short. We are not quick enough. Also no one to slash and get a bucket when when the play breaks down. Maybe some players will get better during the off-season and provide these things, but i haven't seen it. KK is awesome defensively but we need more. Its not just Jazzy anymore. Its not just Makeer. I think our frontcourt is enough, could use a rebounding 4 but I think we can win with what we have there. Its our guards, for the first time in a long time, we aren't as good as we need to be in certain areas. They are good, but they will run into better when it matters most. Its as far as I can see, USC and SC, are the two teams that we don't have enough defense for and they will be the two teams in our way in the end. Expect a repeat of this season. I pray that im wrong, but it's pretty obvious honestly.

The tough lessons I learned that season, taking way more lumps than expected, was why I was skeptical even while UConn went unbeaten. Losing another third of 2025’s three headed monster should show on the court unless y’all make some moves in the portal.

I’m thrilled (and very surprised) that she’s coming back. Kudos to the new coach! I know she loves UVA, but passing up the opportunity to be the lead pg on a championship caliber team, coached by a UVA icon, couldn’t have been an easy decision.

Surprisingly, they already have put together a competent team.

They bring back SBetts and T Gardiner up front. Gardiner, returning from injury, is former OR St and if healthy equal to Dugalic.

Via transfer they already have 3 starting guards, Deas (Ark), Gardiner (OR/TCU), and Aarnisalo (UCLA/NC). Backing this trio up is Bilic, a promising returning soph with limited minutes last year behind all the seniors.

By no means is this a top 5 team, but they could finish #4 in Big10 and be on cut line for hosting ncaa games.

Im old enough to remember if you wanted to do a intra-conference transfer you would lose a year of eligibility... At least that how it was in the ACC

Very much remember that. The powers that be that ran the league then weren't going to let upstart teams take kids who wanted more PT. Be Gone...or sit on the bench.

Back when Texas was in the Big 12, it always surprised me how many SEC head coaches and athletic directors got poached by other SEC schools. It seemed like business as usual. It definitely happens in all sports as far as student-athletes.

I think this is correct until we see how Blanca does in the starting lineup, the development of Allie in a high minutes role, Morgan’s return from injury and Olivia’s freshman season. Aliya of moving parts. I see SC as clear cut no. 1. USC lots of questions as well.

Agree. Ivey commented that she can run the floor, defend and rebound.
That's exactly what they needed to mesh in with 6'2" Leah Macy who is more of a Westbeld-type of forward.

Yea maybe. I want to see if Lindsay Gottlieb can pursuade a team with 3 ball-dominant scorers to actually share the ball before I include them in a “top 3” teams.

This is the big issue for the Trojies. Frankly, it comes down to how Juju plays... and whether she can overcome her ego. If this team can play together, they will DESTROY teams all season long.

I still remember the game against UCLA when Juju decided that maybe she should play some defense in the 4th quarter... and just torched the Bruin offense by herself.
