Yep. Whip was the one that got away. I didn’t realize it at the time, but he would have scored a lot of points with the players we had and known enough about football to keep the defense going. From there, he could have recruited well because he played a fun brand of football.Moorhead wasn’t sought after at that time and was demoted to QB coach with little influence on who started. Whipple along with that defensive likely would have been successful imo.
