2025-26 Coaching Carousel

Be interesting to see where he lands and who his next football head coach will be there:

Why would NWern or Vandy leave their current situations? They are getting a boatload of money, far more than they contribute, and their fans are happy if they get to a bowl every other year. Meanwhile they can take some of that money and invest in lacrosse or baseball or some other sport where they are a national leader.

The big time atmosphere attracts students and the lesser expectations keep the alumni dollars rolling in.

College athletics has gotten a lot less profitable with House.

Amazing that it's November and this is the first game Miami has played this season outside of Florida.
I was saying the same thing. Ridiculous…but good I guess, if you can do it…

USC has Northwestern, Iowa, @Oregon, and UCLA left. If Riley loses 2 of those and they finish 8-4 I imagine USC will have a good, long look at other options.

None of these schools will be able to get anyone to take their jobs without massive, no offset, buyouts.
Of course they will. The pay is enormous, and every coach at that level believes they are the exception.
Its like elite players and playing time in BB — no great player is worried that they will get sufficient playing time no matter who else is on the team.

I think we will see higher salaries and reduced buyouts for leaving or being fired.

The last guy fired had a no offset buyout. Why is that going to change?
