Does it even matter what the players want in the age of NIL? I’m sure it doesn’t matter as much. I’m thinking back to LeBron suggesting that Miami draft Shabazz in 2014. Miami drafted Napier only to see James go to the Lakers.

how funny would it be if someone floated the idea that Penn State is targeting our former head coach. get the jamokes out west all riled up. It's tough for a top coach to take that job. You probably won't do as well as Franklin did and you are going to get fired.

-Routinely had Iowa St punching above its weight
-Lauded in the college football world for how well he runs his program
-Great talent evaluator and developer
-One of the better offensive minds in college football
-With mediocre talent he finshed 1st in Big12 2x, 3rd behind Texas and Oklahoma 2x last 7 seasons
-Loyalty to a fault was the only thing that kept him in Ames for so long
-Well documented interest from NFL and multiple P2 programs last 5 years
Watch what this guy can/will accomplish with top tier talent

Pretty much guaranteed Iowa State gets Candle .. RULE #1 .. one thing is for certain .. if we get Sammis as HC its pretty obvious why.
