2023 Recruiting Thread



James Burns is a 5-8 155lb WR from Charlotte North Carolina > Austin Peay University. (Transfer Portal w/ two years of eligibility remaining). Other offers from Alabama State, Jacksonville State, North Texas and Texas State.


Not sure if this has been posted yet but his Twitter account shows him posting he committed to North Texas on 5/12/23

-> During the 2022 season, Carter recorded 51 receptions for 692 yards and five touchdowns for the Gorillas and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Since entering the portal earlier this week, Carter has received offers from Texas A&M, Western Kentucky, San Diego State, New Mexico State, Utah State, Ball State, Kent State and a few FCS programs. <-

Andrew Ogletree is a 6-2 275lb DL from Columbus Georgia > Alabama State University. Grad Transfer w/ one year of eligibility remaining.


Ogletree committed to UAB. Ended up w/ offers from UConn, Georgia State, Morgan State, NC Central and Samford.

Bummer... has a nice frame for continued development
 
Based on best available info we are full at 85 scholarships right now or one over if the Illinois DL is coming. So to add the Illinois DL we need to free one spot and to replace Hicks at LB free up a second spot. Creating these spaces could come from deferring an incoming freshman to January.

It will be interesting to see who reports to campus this summer.
