2023 Recruiting Thread

But the UConn post ends with Vc.... The Nebraska one doesn't. Nor do any of his other offer posts. Not saying it means anything, could have been a typo. But something to consider.
Nice catch... we'll see come 12/21/22 (hopefully he's on the list of commits)

He lose weight??? other listings show him at about 6'3 322lbs....
Actually he may have put on weight… I probably just grabbed his height/weight from 247. Didn’t dig that deep absent a commit.

Missed Jordan Castell to Florida back in July when I went through recently.
It’s not as easy as it used to be w/ the numbers of offers out and the different platforms/forms of announcements.

That will change as our guys declare for the portal. Makes the question almost impossible to answer. The way players come and go, it will be many.
Yeah, we will probably get a clearer picture this week at senior day.

Tons of guys probably have the option to graduate, but still have a year or two of eligibility.

More turnover is coming... plenty of churning about to go on... recruits/portal kids/JUCO kids are starting to see what we have to offer now (QUALITY coaching staff, top to bottom.. no more first year OCs, first year coaching QBs/RBs.. etc... ) That, alone, says a ton... UConn's always had the kind of campus atmosphere that screamed FBS football (my opinion).. Just started getting it right with the coaching aspect, thanks to the NEW admin folks

Teddy Williams is a 5-11 200lb WR/LB/Athlete from Portland CT attending the Salisbury School in Salisbury CT.

That kid looked like a baller last year. Kind of a tweener.
I remember the name from last year. Would love to give him a shot as it seems like he wants to play here.

Floor could be a good special teams player with speed (we need that on coverage units), ceiling is a guy who after a few years sees some time as an undersized LB with speed and a high motor.

Worth a shot IMO

It seems the first break through top recruit that comes to Uconn will be a defensive back given Mora's extensive experience as a DB coach in the NFL.

Great news! I hope he commits. Loved his HUDL video last year. I think he will be a terrific linebacker.

Edit: His post grad HUDL video shows him on offense so maybe WR.

We’ve obviously had a rapid and incredible turnaround this year, specifically in the second half of the season. One would think that we’d be landing some recruits. I know we don’t have a ton of open slots with such a small graduating classes but some guys have recently posted about getting an offer from UConn, so we still have at least some room. Any idea why we haven’t gotten any more commits recently, besides the PWO?

We don’t have many open slots next year and I think we are saving our few spaces for the portal wars that should begin in a few weeks. Hard to target recruits for your last few seats when you don’t know exactly which of your players might take the portal exit. Fingers crossed we manage to keep this brotherhood for 2023 and not become net losers.

My son played against his team a couple of years ago in the playoffs and this guy was fantastic. If UConn is looking to pick up some Ohio guys, this team is always loaded with D1 talent. Glad to see him work his way back to D1 offers.
