I have read A’ja’s book. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. A’ja is an incredible storyteller, a terrific writer and speaker, and she is an incredible human being.Congrats to the Gamecocks, Dawn, and the fans. I really value y’all’s contributions to the Boneyard, and any smack you talk is respectful and well-earned.
I buried the lede. The Washington Post has daily online chats. I dunno if they’re available to non-subscribers, but this Thursday at noon, A’ja will be the guest and will talk about her book “Dear Black Girls.”
I’ve never seen one of these, as work doesn’t allow it. If it was 8 weeks from now, I’d certainly be watching.
Thanks for having us here. Hope our people are respectful.

. We played in the old Booker T Washington gym. We got to play in the Coliseum once a year and thought it was the greatest thing on earth. We were called the Chicks back then - had to fundraise for our shoes. I only played one year because my parents couldn’t afford to pay for my school and for me to play BB. Title IX happened while I was in college and things have never been the same.
