Anyone know why he didn’t play at Michigan? Was he on the two deep at any time?
FWIW:
Stewart, who was recruited by Don Brown and Ed Warinner arrived at Michigan ahead of the 2019 season and moved over to the defensive line
Outlook for 2021- With a new defense in place, there is a blank slate for everyone on the roster. That could open the door for Stewart to potentially slide in somewhere in a depth role, but he has a lot of competition. Given his athleticism, it is not tough to see him playing on the edge in the new defense and with as multiple as Michigan apparently wants to be, he might be able to crack the rotation somewhere. Players like Rayshaun Benny, Gabe Newburg, Kris Jenkins, George Rooks and others that could make up the third team. It does not seem like a stretch to think he will probably once again stick as a reserve as opposed to someone who can crack the two or three-deep depth chart.
Stewart may still be on the outside looking in for playing time.
