The UConn football team went 1-11 last season, so Zozus received criticism from people about his decision to go to the college for their football program.

“I responded with ‘They had an awful program,’” Zozus said. “Coach (Jim) Mora will turn the football program around.”

I wonder how much the perception held back recruiting this year. If Mora can get this turned around quickly, kids will want to come here. We have been successful, we have sold out the Rent. W can do it again and maybe better.
 
They are trying to secure two LS for 2022? PWOs? One scholly and one PWO for this year then giving a scholly to the PWO for 2023?

If I could take one productive P-5 player at this point, it would be a pass rushing DE. Second would be an OT. This would be huge if we can make it happen.

Agree with this. We need a pass rush desperately. I'm also wondering what we might get out of Mitchell with a good pass rush up front. That might allow us to blitz more effectively. I have no idea what to expect from the defensive backfield.

Braden Ratcliffe is a 6-5 300lb OL from Episcopal High School in Alexandria Virginia. Highlights

Transferred into Episcopal from Riverside High School. Was second team All Conference in 2021.

Assuming he’s a PWO just based on timing but could be wrong.

In the highlights his team looks terrible. He looks good.

Let me point out the obvious. And we didn't have this with Giufre. Coach Sammis was the lead recruiter as the OLine coach and having come from William & Mary in Virginia - and naturally has coaching relationships with HS's in that state. We have more decentralized recruiting that Sammis went after a kid he knew. I also thinks that speaks to the PWON status.
