We lost a recruiting battle against Central? This kid seemed like an athletic Tackle prospect. Certainly a developmental prospect but a good prospect none the less. Bummer.
Marinelli hire was announced 11/28, JS was offered on 11/29 (with AIC and CCSU offers in that order), SHU offered on 12/1. Not much interaction after the offer.

Hopefully he does well at Central and we can steal him. With the current system everyone is a free agent at the end of the season so it doesn't matter where a prospect develops.

Could have been a non committable offer. You can't look at a kid going to lower level fcs or d2 schools and think we lost. More than likely it was never a serious offer, but rather something to help build a relationship with the school.

The other thing about Little is Mora et al offered before we had hired Gord Sammis. So the obvious thing to me is that Sammis and positional coaches have taken accountability for this process in the last few weeks. Little probably just wasn't prioritized as high as some. And academics and the "process". Yes, it takes some things to come together before you get them on campus and have the whole enchilada.

… or a PWO. Not disappointed when we lose out to CCSU. tells me more of recruit than what we offered.

Academics perhaps? We ran out of seats? Or he just had a big reason to choose CCSU.
I had a friend who coached at CCSU in the early 2000s. They recruited kids with FBS offers because as he said some kids don't want 24/7 grind of of 1A football.

Many FBS schools offer hundreds of scholarships to get to 20 to 25 signed HS athletes so it is not unusual for kids who have FBS offers to sign with an FCS school because there is not room at the FBS school.

The grind at FCS is very similar to the grind of FBS. FCS plays as many games as FBS (potentially more if they are in the playoffs), has 15 spring practices like FBS, may stick around campus in the summer,... If you want less of a grind, you go D3.

Molette has the most coaching followers of the DB group left at 7. Edwards has 6 but his profile has really gone quiet as of late outside a retweet of Kha'lil Easons Grambling offer. The only other offer with Mora is Green who has been talked about already. I think he is going to Utah based on his social media.

Who would have thought that back in March his top 12 of UConn, Kansas, Cincy, Washington St., Michigan St., Baylor, SMU, Houston, Tulane, Utah, and BYU plus the little upstart Central Arkansas would possibly lead him to the ASUN and Central Arkansas? Would be an interesting choice after de-committing from the University of New Mexico.

Looks like the perfect example of portal casualty. His highlights show FBS. If it was the old normal situation we were probably out of the running for his services even with JM

Hmmmm

If he comes here, or any other DBs, I can see a few more of our kids from the old coaching staff jumping to the portal... just don't see him choosing us though
