He might be the next Lutrus

I agree, his LB highlights are just as impressive as his WR highlights. We might have depth at WR but we are hurting bigtime at LB. Gotta give this kid a long look.

and don't worry about missing out on portal transfers, i'm very confident the staff can walk and chew gum at the same time.

You’re so confident, you want them to follow up on a lead based on a supposed quote from a Ct HS ref.

Does UCONN have any interest in WR Teddy Williams from Cromwell/Portland? He just carried them to the class S state title. His listed 40 time is only 4.7 but he appears to play faster than his timed speed, he's got football speed.
Hall of famer Steve Largent famously had a 4.7 40 time.

His HUDL season highlights are very impressive. He has the Nick Williams knack for finding open space. He also plays OLB.

A couple of plays it looked as if everyone else was standing still. Not slow.

The recruiting staff needs to do a deep dive on this kid. We have refs saying he's the player in the state and he has a state title to prove it.

I thought this post was a joke but I guess it’s not. How does having a state title prove anything about a player’s ability to perform at the next level?

Wow- plays like a beast both ways. Great tackling form. He's baller. Hope we've offered him.

For football, which if any FBS or FCS schools are recruiting Williams now?

As opposed to larger, generally more competitive schools with more students and potential football players, what's the possibility Williams' football recruiting status may not be helped by Cromwell/Portland's smallish Class S opponents. Reasonable possibility, or dead wrong? Why?

Is Williams fast fast, or potentially just quick compared with possibly slower, less athletic Class S players? Not suggesting small school players cannot be great athletes, just pondering possible reasons Williams may not be heavily recruited yet. ?????

You shouldn't concern yourself with this. This thread is for football fans. Go back to sleep.

You’re right. We should recruit him and everyone else on his high school championship team.

A lot of it is these kids just don't get seen.

the Wyoming QB we saw - Sean Chambers - was pretty good. He enters the Tranfer Portal ... and here's what happens:

"On Friday afternoon, Bohl announced in a statement that Wyoming will try to add a quarterback to its roster for the 2022 season via the transfer portal or junior college.

"The college football landscape is changing with the one-time transfer rule and NIL," Bohl said in the statement. "Our staff anticipated this movement and have a clear vision to navigate these uncharted waters. After a successful early signing day, Cowboy Football will address the need to sign a quarterback via the transfer portal or junior college.

"We believe this is a great opportunity for a transfer quarterback to come in and make an impact on our program. We've seen that before when we brought Josh Allen into our program, and we're excited for the next chapter of Cowboy Football." Disseminated broadly

Advertising and marketing for the next QB.

We are entering a new world in CFB. I think we probably will find out that Sean Chambers had a destination before the paperwork. And the fluidity of this market will be amazing. This is tiers below P5 elite. Chambers may rise to P5 somewhere. Net net ... kids are gonna be texting and using their cellphone with other programs regularly. Particularly QB. And Wyoming is saying they started gearing up the hit list weeks ago.

is NIL code for ... "he's getting paid"

I could be misremembering but I'm pretty sure Wyoming fans and players are all sick of Bohl because of how he treats his players

Colleges can now recruit off of other fbs rosters. Some predicted this is where it was headed years back. We don't like the guy but The Dude called this back like in 2013.

When I think of Jackson State, I think of Lindsey Hunter ending Cliff Robinson’s UConn career.

I was wrong. It was Scott Burrell’s career

Sorry for the OT. Bur I was at that game, and Hunter was literally superhuman. He hit shots from everywhere, including it seemed mid-court shots. It was sad but ridiculously impressive. One of the finest offensive performances I have ever seen live.
