How many scholarships do we left? It's hard to calculate with all of the transfers coming in and out

With a roster of 85 scholarship players its pretty hard to ever have perfect information.

By my calculation there are three open scholarships for fall 2022 and if I understand the COVid bonus scholarship concept, Swenson and Burns would not count against us in 2022, thereby allowing us to have 87 seats and therefore we have 5 spaces going into 2/2.

But also consider that the program could announce more than 5 players on 2/2, it would just mean that either someone currently projected for 2022 will be leaving or should no one leave (unlikely) then someone signed this winter will be asked to defer enrollment to Jan 2023.

Lots of scenarios, however given the slow down in 2022 recruiting by the staff over the past two weeks, it seems we shouldn't expect more than 5 more names on signing day. Maybe its just two or three names and they pocket those extra slots for the portal post spring which always brings about new names.

Looks like Teddy Williams is going the JUCO route. His twitter account mentions Portland Panthers. Hopefully he does well and makes his way back to a CT university.
